The Perola do Mourisca is a real pearl of a restaurant with an excellent menu. The starters make an excellent tapas menu but on top of that there are also fantastic seafood, fish and meat dishes to choose from but the starters are definitely the star of the show. It provides a good choice of wines to compliment its varied menu. The restaurant has a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere with a keen, efficient and knowledgeable staff providing a excellent service. Don’t overlook the desserts, I had massa folhada com queijo fresco com compota de figo (a millefeulle with fresh cheese and fig compote) that was divine simply put the best millefeuille pastry I’ve ever tasted, real melt in the mouth light...
This is one of the fewest restaurants in Setúbal area not known only for fish dishes. Here everything is great! The price is quite affordable for the quality given. The main challenge is finding it, as it is located by secondary roads in the countryside just outside Setubal. Good option if you’re going south.
