We have been frequenting the Bethesda Crab House for close to 40 years and it’s a tradition in my family every time I visit. We ALL look forward to the experience of sitting at picnic tables, eating traditional blue pincher crabs, having shrimp, corn and beer. Needless to say our recent visit didn’t disappoint. We ordered dozen jumbo crabs and they didn’t disappoint. The crabs were incredible and the service impeccable. In fact 2 of the servers were grandsons of the original owner who has passed away but the current owner has carried the torch!!!
We had a fantastic catering experience! The restaurant's location was very convenient for picking up our catering order for a corporate office party in Bethesda. The empanadas, croquettes, and bruschetta were all thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Our order was ready earlier than expected and the prices were very reasonable for the area. Ordering online with easily accessible pricing made the whole experience simple and stress-free.
We went for crab cake lunch mid August. The atmosphere inside was off putting, so we opted for outside but there were large, noisy fans and the lingering hint of trash smell. Crab cakes were not special no spice or pizzaz compared to other options. We had been years ago for the crabs which seem like the thing to get but the atmosphere really needs an update.
So there is little to add to this quaint place's name. They serve crab. Lots of it., good portions, good prices. It's the dive bar of crab houses with superb food. The crab guys sit at the bar with you, and every batch is prepared fresh. There are no frills, just great food. Limited draft selection, beer, and wine. Did I mention they have crabs?

Recently, we ordered two trays of paella for a party and both were delicious. Jon was very helpful and easy to work with. Everything was ready and warm when we arrived. Our guests were pleased and so were we! I am looking forward to ordering more food from Pescadeli soon.
I had the best soft shelled crabs ever! My husband had the 2 pounds of delicious snow crab. the accompanying corn and cole slaw were also very good. Our waitress Susie was personable and efficient.
My father picked up my catering order and said it was some of the best customer service he has ever experienced. He is excited to visit again in the future.
Was looking for crab cakes and thought this would be the place. No frills but great food. Definitely if you want crabs, shrimp or oysters stop by
