I wish I had thought to take pictures, because this place was absolutely phenomenal. Breakfast Platter, $14... three eggs, toast, bacon, hash browns, and a short stack of fairly huge pancakes. Everything was just about perfect, though I wish they could have gotten the hash browns a tiny bit crispier. For $8 they have a cinnamon bun French toast, which is this enormous fat cinnamon bun sliced into thirds and then prepared frenchtoast style. The omelettes are fairly large too. Only three real gripes. Number one, they do not have a gluten-free bread or toast option. It d/n affect me, but did affect a couple of other people in the group I was with. Number two, a side of corned beef hash was $8....

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, despite living in Schenectady for 16 years. The food was excellent - the poached eggs, potatoes, and thick sliced rye toast were all delicious. My companion ordered the Irish Benedict and was extremely satisfied as well. This is now my new favorite casual breakfast spot!

Peter Pause is one of the best, if not THE best, breakfast place in Schenectady! Good old fashion diner feel, HUGE portions of food and beyond reasonable prices. The staff is really down to earth, personable and always have a smile for you. I can't recommend this place enough

The restaurant's operating hours need to be updated. I tried to go a little before 1 pm, and they said they closed at 1:30, but they were already closed. This happened on a Tuesday. It doesn't seem like the same place I remember from my childhood. Reserva una mesa ahora

The best breakfast I’ve had in years. Breakfast Burrito with sausage was amazing and my other half had The Dutchman’s Special 3 eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. He said he wouldn’t go anywhere else when we are in Schenectady!

I can't believe I missed this restaurant every time I drove by. The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch. The only downside was the parking situation, but overall it was definitely a 5-star experience.

Peter Pause is a yummy and mouth-watering diamond in the rough!! The food is homemade and absolutely fabulous and you can't beat their prices!! We try and go once or twice a week!

No steak eggs on the menu, and the homefries were the saddest and soggiest I had ever experienced.
