Pete's Frootique Fine Foods

Unfortunately, the quality of the catering has declined significantly. A few years ago, Pete’s was known for their stunning artisanal fresh fruit platters that truly stood out and were well worth the price. However, the platter I picked up today (May 2023) was quite underwhelming. It didn’t include any exotic fruits, and the arrangement was lacking creativity. The attention to detail was poor, with uneven cuts, and it was clearly made the day before, resulting in soggy pieces underneath. I could easily make a better platter myself or just buy one from a basic grocery store. I’m really disappointed.

The food is good, but the management leaves much to be desired. I frequently find myself wandering around, looking for assistance when there should be staff available at the deli or dessert sections. I've even asked the managers to order cases of food for me, offering to pay in advance, but they refused and never followed up despite my repeated inquiries. If you visit around 5 PM, you'll see a noticeable absence of management, giving the place a vibe similar to that of a convenience store.

The restaurant offers a wonderful variety of unique items that are hard to find elsewhere. They provide an excellent range of ready-made dinner options. Their produce is significantly better than that of national chains, and they also have a solid selection of international foods.

I always look forward to my Pete's experience. The Cheese and Onion Walker crisps are my favorite! Looking at the variety of foods and the beautiful fresh veggies, especially the cauliflower. It must have been twice the size of anything you would purchase in the grocery stores.

Alvin working at the salad bar on August 21st at 3:50pm was so incredibly rude. We walked away (without food) it was so disgusting how he treated us. It is clear he would rather be doing another else than working. You will lose a lot of business keeping this employees.

Pete's is one of my favourite stores. Their selections of cheese and other fine foods are great. Unfortunately the prices are ridiculous and I can't shop there as much as I would if it were more reasonably priced.

Unique fruit and vegetables from around the world plus local seasonal produce. I especially like their butcher and UK specialty sections. I always shop there on Tuesday for 10% off.

Good sandwiches. Love the bean burrito. The selection of fruits isn't as good as it was before they were purchased by Sobeys.

Very good selection for produce, meats, and imported British items. Grocery and bakery a bit overpriced

Wide selection of exotic products. Very expensive compared to other grocery stores in the area.
