Staying for 1 week in Evora, I went three times, twice with a colleague, and we were both equally enthused and inspired by the experience, especially since we also had the possibility to compare with various other lunches and dinners elsewhere. I ordered three times the ceviche and the quality was consistently excellent, the fish absolutely fresh. As a main course we had bacalhao fillet and it was the best we had in Evora. Gazpacho accompanied by a freshly grilled sardine fillet on a big slice of toast with olive oil was an inventive twist to the normal recipe and went well together. Excellent food, attentive service...we were lured in by diners just inside the door who told us the food was very very good. They were right! We had black pork with pureed sweet potato and spinach, and a baked rolled sea bass and asparagus with orange sauce. Perfect flavour matching and portion sizes just right. The espumante sangria was laden with fruit and neither too sweet nor too fizzy. Desserts were too tempting to miss and, again, just the right size and simple flavour to complement the meal. Be sure to try the lavender cream. Waitress was lovely and friendly but not obtrusive.

My partner and I were recommended this restaurant by our host, and we decided to check it out on our last night in Evora. My partner ordered the black pork tenderloin with migas and it was delicious. They even had vegetarian options for me, which is difficult to find in high-end European restaurants. Since the petiscaria is a relatively new dining location, there was no wait to get in. I will absolutely visit again the next time I'm in Evora.

Top top top o bem comer e receber da cozinha tradicional alentejana. Provavelmente uma das melhores sopas de cação que já comi, ligeiramente avinagrada um caldo suave com aromas subtis de alho e coentros e o rei Cação, terminámos com pézinhos de coentrada igualmente divinais. A simpatia do senhor que nos serviu foi exemplar. Nao esperem um restaurante daqueles todos chiques mas sim à antiga onde a qualidade da comida ainda reina. Reserva una mesa ahora

A great little place slightly off the beaten track so perhaps not as crowded as it deserves to be. The service is friendly, attentive but not intrusive. We had the sea bass, mashed potatoes and asparagus. All were flavourful and cooked to perfection. Our server brought us liqueur on the house. A very nice touch. It is open from noon onwards for those who prefer ro eat an earlier supper. Visa accepted. What is not to like?!

Restaurante acolhedor que já frequentei na altura do Sr. Lopes.. E que depois deixei de ir.. Voltei novamente e adorei.. A comida muito bem confeccionada comi costeletas de borrego e estavam muito boas as migas de espargos também gostei muito.. Estava tudo muito bom. Vou regressar em breve.. Só tem um senão para mim.. Saímos de lá a cheirar muito a comida... Mas de resto tudo muito bom

Quick service, friendly staff, tasty food, nice athmosphere. I recommend this place. A very important thing that the restaurant was open in the afternoon when the others were closed. A big plus for the extra glas of liguer shot.
