Never one to write restaurant reviews but very disappointed. It is very interesting to see from past reviews others were also treated in the same way and shoved by the door if the restaurant preferred the look of other customers (generally if you are over 60 and wearing tweed you get priority. Laughable. Booked a table a good few weeks before a planned anniversary dinner, requested a particular side of the restaurant so we would not be sitting near the door, which was agreed by the restaurant . On arrival the waiter gave our table to a couple who arrived at the same time. NONE of the staff would do anything about it, they didn’t care, and we were put near the door, where I had requested not...

Hadn’t been here for a while but we have always loved this restaurant so came back again. We chose to sit by the door as we thought it might be a little cooler there (the restaurant is very warm). It was perfect for us. The service was efficient and friendly not the quickest, but we didn’t mind that, wouldn’t expect anything else in a French restaurant. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. This is a bistro, not a formal restaurant and we love it! The wine was excellent and good value all in all an excellent evening. We will definitely return and would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic French experience.

We had a wonderful lunch at Petit Coco. We almost missed the place – there is a wooden plaque on some railings in Bath Street, then you discover narrow, a steep and staircase leading to the basement where the restaurant is hidden. It is small cosy and quite romantic. The food seems authentically French (better than many bistros in England). My wife had the calves’ liver and I had the delicious magret de canard which included pommes de terre dauphinoise wrapped in a paper parcel. We both chose the fondant au chocolate which was excellent. The house wine and coffee were good.

Friends lunchtime birthday celebration, second time I have eaten here and can honestly say I can't speak highly enough of the food, service and ambiance. The interior is what I would see as being typical French style bistro, it's a small, intimate, cozy restaurant and oh my god the food is fantastic. You just know its been cooked by chefs who understand hearty French cookery. Service down to earth and very pleasant. Its not the cheapest but it is good quality. We will be back. had a nice meal tonight, really recommended. the place is well decorated typical French. ambiente is smooth, chilled and relaxing. Eating is 5 stars each mouthful was breathtaking, swashy soup, baked camembert, baked chicken and bark bourguignon is what we have tried out and we were very happy and very full. I would recommend the house red wine carafe as it was very drinkable. we will be back and will recommend this place.. all round beautiful experience-Thank you all.

Food and service excellent! We tried this bistro today and were very impressed. Quite a small place but this gave it a cosy atmosphere. All the food we ordered was delicious and there were many different options the menu which sounded equally good (definitely be back to try some of them) would certainly recommend. Only problem would be that the restaurant is in a basement and steps down are quite steep.

Great flavours the food delicious-not Hugh portions but quality over quantity! Well presented Fab drinks the French sparkling wine was divine Not the most comfortable seats and rather scruffy tables chairs floors ect but I think that’s the effect they are after. Service was perfect. Small restaurant. No good for the physically compromised person as very steep stairs. No parking

The restaurant is cozy and intimate with tables placed closely together. Despite its small size and basement location, it can get quite warm inside, especially with the heat from the kitchen flowing into the dining area. The menu offers delicious French cuisine, although prices are a bit on the higher side. Overall, the quality of the food makes up for the cost. Reserva una mesa ahora

The restaurant is extremely small with a limited menu. All of the French inspired dished that we had were excellent. We enjoyed prawns, mussels, steak, fish and chicken and all were superb. The shellfish was particularly delicious. The service was professional and friendly.
