As if this nape of the woods did not have enough gems lined up to get foodies swooping in here, now they can vouch further by getting one of the less usual places for cuisines in Brisbane - and that is South American. Down to the bone, South American is fairly simple but it is rarely ever subtle. Life is too short for that anyhow. Getting into the groove of a typical Brisbanite's love of brunch, Petrichor shows how you can step right out of your element and enjoy most of the same charms. To me, more of the same would be out of my element; this is the kind of food I venture out for. And it is worth it again. Between the usual commitments for a breakfast out, and going to church, this was go...

I adore South American food & was very excited when we spotted this little gem last week. It was on my hit list straight away. Finally got to try it out for breakfast & definitely did not disappoint. That avocado was delicious with a Sth American twist. Loved the inclusion of dukkah, the heat in the chimchurra & that pea smash. Was disappointed they took the Colombian bubble & squeak from the menu above. The new Autumn menu had Mexican scrambled eggs in it's place I think (which the other half ordered) A delightful array of onions capsicum & salsas etc included with the eggs & a small potato patty along with yellow potato with a zesty lime zing. All tied together it m...

After collecting family members from a cruise we decided to head local for breakfast. A quick google suggested this would cover both our vegan and strict carnivore diners. It didn't really. One vegan asked to swap out eggs for avo - this was refused, my carnivore husband added bacon to his order but found the portion (two small pieces) stingy for the price. We had three serves of the corn fritters from the specials menu - all three of us found them lacking in taste, the salsa tasted like it came from a jar. Coffees were weak and again small for the price. Service was ok but they did try to deliver the wrong food and we had to ask for table water. It wasn't horrible food, just mediocre for th...

So good, the food is consistently lovely and the service is always great, has become a new favorite local for us. Do yourself a favour and try the muesli with poached pear or the mushrooms for brekkie, im disappointed to see their rating is 3.3 average because theres only a handful of reviews, they are a solid 5!

I was keen to try this cafe based on the good reviews. It did not disappoint. It was cold and windy outside, but inside the staff were friendly and the service very good. I had the strawberry panacotta with granola. It was beautifully presented and delicious. The mango smoothy was cold and deliciously flavoured.
