Phayathai - Reservar una mesa

What a horrendously awful meal. I ordered the Pahyathai chicken which came with white rice and I order a side of shrimp rolls, both to go. First the bag had no plasticware, napkins or sauces. The chicken was supposed to be a spicy meal according to the menu but I didn't sense any spice at all. The chicken dish was without flavor and amounted to 6 pieces of fried chicken that was dry and flavorless sauce. It was basically fried chicken wings served on cabbage leaves. The rice was in a separate container and again, flavorless. The shrimp rolls were nothing but a shrimp wrapped in a roll, no flavor or seasoning at all. Definitely not worth the $30 I was charged.

The best Thai food on the island, hands down. Everything is always perfect. I come here every week. My wife and I have gone to Thailand several times and we still like Phayathai noodle dishes better than anywhere over there. Mimi always greets customers warmly and treats them kindly, always offering great suggestions. The only thing I would change on their menu is the khao soi. It?s very good but the Chiang Mai style is a bit better.

Recent experience of takeaway: very bad experience made us wait extra 20 min for a takeaway order. I understand they were very busy but the staff treated us very badly. I asked for a couple crushed peanut packs (after paying 71$ and they gave one reminding me that is extra. I was anyway ok to pay for it but the sass that the front desk person showed was bad. I feel sorry I won't be going back for food here.

Ordered the drunken noodle and it was amazing! Perfect texture to the chicken, egg noodles were perfect, loved the addition of the tomato in it and the spice was the perfect amount.....not overpowering but definitely noticeable. Would definitely order again!

If you want real authentic Thai food this is the place. Definitely a hidden gem!
