Walking in has always been a pleasure, the catering trays is where my issue stands. Today, like we usually do for our parties, we ordered a hot dog and regular rivet tray. We typically purchase our trays from the Ridley one but went with the Springfield one with high hopes. Absolute let down. They apparently ran out of mini hot dogs and replaced them with cut up full pretzel dogs. They then re-cooked them making them as terrible and dry as you could imagine. The rivets also taste like they were cooked around 10am, yesterday. This facility is alright for a snack while driving down Baltimore pike but if you 're having a party drive the extra 10 minutes and get the trays from Ridley.
So I came into the Philly Pretzel Factory yesterday around 6 pm, and there was a man with long greasy hair working at the register, first off his appearance was already enough for me to not want a pretzel but when he grabbed my pretzel with no glove, that crossed the line, I corrected him and told him he needs to wear gloves when he said “our manager said we only have to use wax papers” because of this I don’t believe me and my 2 daughters will be returning anytime soon, such a sad scene for a place so beloved.
I was going out of town and picked up pretzels on my way, to my mistake I assumed all my items were in the bag but came to found out I was missing items. I called to get a refund since I couldn’t go back to get said items and spoke to Kevin. Kevin is amazing and handled my issue quickly and efficiently and Kevin deserves a raise. Thank you Kevin for your professionalism, it’s not the mistake that’s the issue it’s how it’s handled and this was handled perfectly.
The management exhibits racist practices, paying foreign workers less while offering higher wages to Caucasians. They show a complete disregard for hygiene, even picking up food from the floor and placing it in mobile orders. Additionally, the pretzels served are cold and stale, made in the morning and left out until night. This establishment is truly appalling.

Order placement contact, she wrote it down, rung it up wrong. Pick up, had ordered an extra dip, then found out wrong dip inside. Called store and contact argued that print out was accurate...they taped the handwritten one to order...so. ahhh no. Won't be going there...ever.
Although the service was good and the young man at the counter was very nice, he had on plastic gloves while handling the pretzels (good thing) but he was handling the money with the same gloves on. Wearing gloves is for sanitary reasons and that doesn’t seem sanitary.
Every time the pretzels are cold. This time I say something and I get I can hear them up but they'll be hard. How about find a proper way to keep them warm and not make as many ahead
Great customer service and good atmosphere. I will continue to visit this location.
