Pho 79 - Reserva de mesa

What happened? Did upper management change? Something happened, and it’s not good. Service was terrible. The Pho tasted different.-sat down, waited approx. 10minutes to get someone at our table. In that time we saw two tables get sat down, drink order/food order placed. Mind you this is after we hav long sat down.-finally a waiter came brought water and glasses and menus. Then left.-a different came and asked “so what can I get you all to eat so I can put the order in.”? we dismissed the tone, left it for open interpretation.-ordered crab Rangoon. Let's start with what kept me from giving it the full 5 stars and then get to the good part! I had the chicken and egg pho. It promised a soft boiled egg on the menu and the egg was hard boiled. Not a big deal to me personally as I love all types of eggs but my best friend who is a bit more particular than me was present and said she wouldn't have liked this. Thing is, I think it's important to stick to what the menu promises. The broth had a nice light flavor to it but it could stand to be a tad more robust to make it better.The bathroom had two stalls. Normally Vietnamese cuisine is one of my favorites but this was a major disappointment. We got seated pretty quick the place is very large fusion compared to most Vietnamese places. Our order got screwed up twice then my chicken over broken rice came out very cold so wasn't pleasant to be eating cold grilled chicken. Seemed like it was left overs as it was very dry as well too. Visiting from out of state this will definitely be a place to cross off for my future visits to VA beach. The authenticity in the food is just not there.....or they cater to the American taste buds too much.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the server was wonderful, and I really loved the atmosphere and decor. However, I did find the overhead lights to be a bit too low; they were bright and somewhat distracting. Also, the lock on the handicapped bathroom door in the women's restroom was broken. Other than that, it was an awesome visit! Food: 5/5

The pho was just okay—nothing outstanding. The banh mi sandwich was disappointing; it tasted like they used mayonnaise instead of pâté, there weren't enough pickled vegetables, and the BBQ pork was just average. The restaurant has the feel of a chain establishment. We won't be returning and will steer clear of similar chain Vietnamese restaurants. Food rating: 2/5.

Great food, always. Restaurant was very cold, noticed other patrons had their coats on while eating, owners should notice that and make their eating environment warmer. I did eat with my coat on. I let my server know I was cold, he agreed and said he'd see if he could adjust the thermostat, which he did. Thank you.Food: 5/5 Reserva una mesa ahora

The food is a bit on the higher price but it is definitely worth it for the quality of the food and the friendly staff. The pho is one of the best we had so far. We always like to get water and like the flavor of the water. I come here at least twice a month !Kid-friendliness: High chair

The portion size was great, and the staff were very friendly. This is one of our two favorite pho spots in town. Food: 5/5
