Kirkland Pho House is located street side on Central Way just west of Lake Street. Parking is available limited street side, or less than a block away on First and in surrounding neighbourhood. Appears to be a small family owned restaurant, Atmosphere (3 out of 5): Atmosphere inside is pretty standard for a Pho or vietnamese eatery. Simple unassuming decor, straightforward vibe, and flexible seating options between tables and booths. Nothing special but nothing detrimental either. The place changed owners recently and their food is getting better. We tried their new pho, Bun Bo Hue and the grilled pork banh mi banh mi is good. Their combo now includes fries, you can choose normal fries or sweet potato fries. They even give us a small cup of simple broth/soup to have with it. Surprised that I can taste pate in their banh mi! the pho broth is one of the best I have ever had. It's slightly sweeter than what I normally want but it's super tasty. I actually can eat the pho as it is, don't need to put hoisin sauce or the chili sauce for this pho. Might just need to squeeze a bit of lime to make it better. We just happened to stumble upon this place when looking for food late at night in Kirkland and to me this was a hidden gem! I was surprised that we were the only ones in the restaurant as the food was quite good and relatively affordable. I got the Bo Kho (beef stew) that comes with bread and it really hit the spot on a chilly night. Although the meat itself wasn't the most tender, all the vegetables were and the soup was super flavorful. Portion size was pretty decent for the price (Bo Kho was $15). Everyone else I came with also said their food was tasty and I definitely want to come back to try more!
this is my favorite place for train mi. I must get it without mayo or butter, but the aromen are spot on! pho is also really good. we ordered the fried rice, which unfortunately came with ice. when we told the staff that we couldn't eat it because we were vegan, they apologized, even though we had checked before the order. they immediately took our plate back and in 5 minutes, we had a new order of freshly prepared vegan fried rice that was victorious. I went here for dinner on a Tuesday night. The green bean appetizer was perfectly cooked. I had the roasted chicken pho and it was outstanding. The broth was so good I ended up drinking it more than eating the noodles. The roasted chicken also had a lot of flavor. The portion size was generous, I took home half for another meal. I'll definitely be going back!
You should come here, you won't be disappointed. It's incredible to me that this place is only 3.7 stars feels like a crime. The Pho is so, so good. Even the veggie pho (my gf is a vegetarian) has a ton of flavor. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The ambiance is great. It's my favorite pho place in the area. And that's all I have to say about that.
