I was here with a friend on a Friday night two weeks ago. First time eating pho at this place. We got there at 7.30pm and it was chaotic. We both ordered a large Special Combination Beef Pho. The price difference between the regular size and large size was only a $1. The servings were larger than expected and was very happy. We ordered beef pho and crispy chicken noodle soup. The soups are on the bland side but at least its served piping hot and not too oily like some other places. I notice that for non vietnamese customers they serve the cheaper herbs (mint) and for vietnamese customers they serve the basil when pho is ordered. Also, the vietnamese customers get hot tea and cold water offered without request. The staff member with long hair needs to improve her customer service skills. On entering she scowls and points at where she wants you to sit. On paying she not only scowls but snaps at you if you want to pay with credit card, despite a sign saying they offer this facility. Lets start with the food, we ordered rice paper rolls and spring rolls for starters which were quite nice. The rice paper rolls were fresh but lacked flavour, the spring rolls were enjoyabe and weren't too oily. For mains we ordered the pork and springroll noodle salad and salt and pepper soft shell crab. The noodle salad was quite filling and the pork was cooked nicely and had a good flavour to it. The soft shell crab was the highlight of the night for me. It was very well prepared and the batter was nicely flavoured and seasoned. The dish had a nice spiciness to it which wasn't too overpowering and was enjoyable.

we wanted to visit the madtongsen for a Korean lunch on the working day. Unfortunately it was closed for the holiday, so went down to the yuens market to feed our food. on the way to the Malaysian corner we found that were present in this ice cream tables, so there was a jump. well, my last time here was over two years. we forgot how wide the menu was, so just ordered a Lalot beef, sugar cane prawns and a bowl of the bungalow to share between two of us. eating was prepared for our table within a minute. that was such a standard. beef and sugar cane prawn (like fish paste) were acceptable, but the noodles of bun bo hue were serious too soft (good for older without teeth I think the cooks...re...
cold, costly, blanching, they used the wrong tofu for the salt and pfeffer tofu, it was so hard and dry it reminded me of the start of rambo when john rambo stones in the sun as any kind of prison sentenced to crush, I always wish that rambo would turn and crush my tofu so that I could try a piece in my mouth and fit. the stir fry looked like a kind of black suppe instead of a stir fry but this is in this phase ok I welcome the moistness but alas that also bland, I was quite confused and impressed how she got it so dark in the color, but so void of any taste

absolutely tasty pho is worth waiting for a table. we loved everything we got a pho hung, the rice paper rolls were super tasty and meals came out very quickly.
I always dine here. Friendly staff. However, some staff are not helpful at all and comes accross as very rude. The food here is god but a little pricey!
