Phoenix Tavern - Reserva de mesa

On Friday night, after Phoenix landed, I had a wonderful evening at the restaurant. I started with the kidneys, which were a perfect 10/10, and I enjoyed them with some chips on the side. It was absolutely delicious. The new owner was very accommodating and spent a good amount of time chatting with us. Since I requested a Don Pedro from South Africa, the chef even came out to prepare them for us, which was a lovely touch. Many thanks for a fantastic evening—I will definitely return!

Eight of us visited the restaurant last Thursday, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed lunch; I ordered the steak on ciabatta, which I highly recommend—it was absolutely delicious! Others had crab on sourdough, fish fingers, and a variety of other dishes, and everyone was pleased with their choices. The chips were to die for! We’ll definitely return when we visit Faversham; it was a nice day out from Broadstairs.

"Overall, the experience was quite pricey for the small portion sizes. I dined in for dinner, and I found the food to be average, rated at a 2 out of 5. The service was decent, scoring a 3, and the atmosphere was also a 3. For the price range of £1–10 per person, I expected a bit more."

The choices in dishes isn 't huge, but in our group we all really enjoyed the meals. The atmosphere was very 'pubby ', nothing wrong with that, but it is not a match to the food. Would I go again? Great dining experience! The highly-rated dishes feature top-notch ingredients. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. We made a reservation well in advance during the week.
