I had the unfortunate experience of dining at Picco, and I must say it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. To begin with, we waited an excruciating 20 minutes just to receive a menu. Then, another 15 minutes passed before someone bothered to take our order. And as if that wasn't bad enough, we had to endure a mind-numbing 40-minute wait for our food to arrive. During a visit to the restroom, a cockroach decided to join us in the dining area. Rather than taking immediate action, a member of the staff simply kicked it out, as though that was an acceptable resolution. At that point, I should have realized this place was a lost cause. The staff's disinterest in our dining experience was palpable. They seemed more interested in everything else but us, both before and during our meal. To add insult to injury, I spotted what appeared to be my order sitting on a hot plate where the waitstaff picked up food. When it was finally handed to me, it was ice-cold. It took less than 2 minutes for the chef to toss it back in a wok and attempt to reheat it. That's not the kind of culinary expertise I expected. I specifically ordered a VEGAN tofu white rice dish, but when it was brought back to me, it mysteriously contained EGG. Clearly, they have no regard for dietary preferences or allergies. When the waiter finally had the audacity to ask how everything was, I explained our ordeal. His response? A nonchalant shrug. I had no choice but to walk out in utter frustration, leaving behind a party member who continued the futile complaint. This was my first-ever complaint about a restaurant, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Picco to anyone. It's a culinary catastrophe that should be avoided at all costs.
