Piccolo Mondo - Hyde Park

Great little vibe place but any kind of music would have really set the ambiance. Great place for a date. Had the Chicken Vesuvio and it was very good. Was a little upset there were no capers but it was still pretty good. Saved the chicken breast for later and it was a little under cooked so I had to place it in my oven at home but it was worth doing so(-2 stars). I was a little upset that I was told they didn't accept the restaurants.com deals anymore(-1 star) but it was a decent meal. Not bad price wise so I may give the place another try. Service was excellent.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Hyde park. Their lunch specials (cookie, sandwiches and coffee) combination is my favorite. This place truly feels like a cafe in that you can come with friends, share coffee and light snacks and talk while enjoying the ambience.

I write this review more than memoir when we missed closing! We found this jewel a few years ago and it just became our favorite restaurant. We were last October for our anniversary. The best Italian food, the best customer service. Thanks for the memories

Just a block away from the Museum of Science and Industry, I somehow missed this place for years. Perfect sizes baked goodies and delicious express/ coffee drinks. The presentation is always a smile maker!

I love everything about this place. It is in the cut (link and you will miss it) neighborhood walking, the wine and the food is great. The staff was friendly and very informative.
