We were seated in the wine room which is lovely. It is very old world, cozy, dark and romantic which is challenging to find in a beach city. It is perfect if you are celebrating a special occasion. The Italian music set the perfect tone and atmosphere. It reminds me of the darkly lit, beautiful traditional Italian restaurants we used to frequent on the UES like Erminia's in NYC. I've there twice and we both had great delicious entrees. It has a very warm atmosphere and the people are very friendly. Kind of a family affair. They only serve beer or wine which is OK but they don't carry any non alcoholic beer which was a first for us when dining out. Also they don't serve decaf coffee which I've never seen before. I'm writing this in hopes that they read some of the reviews and consider making a change or two. If either one of the issues I had don't concern you by all means you must come eat here.....

We had the most incredible Italian meal we've ever experienced. The lobster ravioli and lasagna were both fresh and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is charming, romantic, and truly unique. Alec, our waiter, was fantastic and made us feel like family. He even treated us to a complimentary glass of sparkling wine from Croatia. The wine selection here is extensive. This restaurant is fantastic! They have an excellent wine selection and a variety of good food options—nothing overly fancy, but everything is well prepared. The staff are friendly and attentive, and Pietro and his wife are always on hand to assist or share a story. The atmosphere is wonderful; we dined in the "wine room." I'll definitely be returning! Welcome back! This is the best Italian restaurant in Sarasota and the surrounding areas. The food, service, and atmosphere are unmatched. This is our favorite spot for Italian cuisine. Peter, the owner and culinary master, does an amazing job in the kitchen. Wendy, our server, was exceptional as always. You couldn't ask for a better dining experience. Share it with your closest friends, just like we did. Enjoy and cheers!
