I'm originally from Austin and have been on the hunt for Texas style BQQ north of the bay. This brisket is the closest I've found so far! The BBQ sauce is also pretty close but missing texas sweetness. 5/5 meal. 4/5 Texas taste! The staff is allergen trained and told me most everything is celiac safe/gluten free or can be altered to accommodate. They are confident many of their meats, sides, and sauces are celiac safe.UNSAFE items: cornbread, macaroni, chili, white sauce on chicken (can be removed), rolls and sanwhich breads.Always ask the servers what is safe and unsafe ahead of ordering on the app as the menu does not have GF called out per item. There is a place in the app to request speci...

We were pleasantly surprised by the delightful flavors that tantalized our taste buds at this restaurant. The hot links were a standout, with a perfect balance of tastiness that was enhanced by the recommended mustard sauce. The beef brisket was a highlight, with tender, succulent meat complemented by a mild sauce. The cornbread served as a subtle and sweet accompaniment, while the flavorful potato salad was a big hit. The friendly staff provided excellent customer service, adding to an overall fantastic dining experience. This meal not only satisfied our hunger but also warmed our hearts. Here's to exceptional flavors and top-notch service! Cheers!

Holy smack, this place hits so hard.Food if could give it more than five stars the brisket alone makes this a 10. Every time I come here I get a pound of brisket and the smoky flavor and juiciness hits harder than any other barbecue place I 've been to in Bay Area. Service the staff are always very friendly and happy to help when I 've went. Ambiance it is in a food court sort of thing but it 's not janky like a mall food court. It 's much more, for lack of a better word, fancier than that. Overall if you come here you HAVE to get a beef brisket, you 'll not regret it

Located inside the Public Market, Pig in a Pickle is a convenient spot to satisfy your BBQ cravings. My go-to dishes are the brisket and hot links with spicy BBQ sauce. The brisket is exceptionally tender with a delicious smoke ring and bark. When I preordered meat for a party, I received more fatty pieces than I would have liked, but when ordering at the counter, they are usually accommodating to requests for leaner meat. The prices for meat are comparable to other places in the East Bay, making it a bit expensive but a delicious treat every now and then! Reserva una mesa ahora

Meat was okay , very tender , but not very flavorful no woody smoke flavor. Just know this not no good ol southern bbq , this is a white bbq spot fr . You will not get no southern food , southern hospitality nothing. wouldn’t go again also bc of the bad service. Mexican looking guy with black nail polish was so rude to the women guests.Death stares , rolling eyes , not offering everyone the option of trying any sauces. I literally saw women leaving bc of how he was looking at them smh.

Had a little taste of the brisket and the burnt ends, and both were amazing. High quality meat and wonderful flavor. I need to come back here and get a full meal. I would have had a meal here, but I had already eaten 30 mins ago. I'll update this review after I return.Later after leaving, I recognized this as the place where episodes of All the Smoke are filmed. It would be awesome to come back for one of those.

Public Market has come a long way. Could smell the BBQ before I entered the building and I was hella hungry.Looked around with my buddy and we settled on the BBQ and it did not disappoint. I’m a Texan and I’ll say that the brisket was pretty good. But the ribs were perfect. And the cornbread was hella big, fluffy, and tasty.Def worth the money, I’ll be returning.

I have only tried the side dishes from this restaurant, but I continue to return for them. The potato salad is incredible - tangy and delicious. The macaroni and cheese is also amazing, I always eat it too quickly to take a picture. The service is excellent, very friendly, and I even received an extra pickle today as a bonus! I was born and raised in the south so i feel qualified to review bbq. I was blown away by the quality of the bbq and fixins (sides). The slaw and banana pudding are the best ive ever had. I have not had grade A bbq on the west coast since moving out here until today. The sauces, meat, and sides are all on point.
