We stopped in here one afternoon for lunch after a visit to Père Lachaise and came across this Traiteur that sold excellent authentic Greek food. Once we stepped in the smell was fantastic and we knew we had to try this place out. The owner and operator is a super friendly Greek-French guy and speaks English very well. The aroma was a really fantastic moussaka that is made daily. (actually its made the day before so it can be at its best and the flavours can come together) We had another pasta dish that was excellent and had a lot of different appetizers and some nice big olives and finished it off with a spot of wine. He also gave us a good tip to check out the authentic Fromagerie a few me...

I got out of Pere Lachaise metro and fancied a quick bite before visiting the cemetery so wandered a few metres up avenue Gambetta and came across this place which is a small restaurant that has takeway food too. It's owned by a friendly Greek guy who does all the cooking himself. It's cheap and delicious and if the weather is nice you can sit outside.I had a selection of starters which I chose from the display with some warm pita bread then had his homemade moussaka accompanied by a glass of Greek wine and everything was delicious. I finished off with some ice cream and cherry compote which was so good I was practically licking the plate.

This small Greek restaurant and delicatessen with outdoor seating in summer is just a few steps away from Pere Lachaise metro and cemetery. You can eat there or take away. The owner is Greek and makes the food himself and it's excellent. There is also a good choice of Greek wines and everything is very reasonably priced.
