As a long time regular visitor of this pub I can say in recent times it has lifted significantly. The meals have always been Ok but are now brilliant. This new menu has been in for a few months and they have nailed it. Our table of 6 were all amazed and commented best we have had there in years. In particular the Southern Brisket Burger is an 11/10 A slow cooked American South smoked Brisket in a Brioche bun that is simply amazing, came with chips that were perfect. I love eating here bit the service has become somewhat slow. Food is great.You line up for meals then when you order drinks you have to line up again to order drinks. With the lack of staff the lines were longer than it used to be and the time to take orders especially on the drinks side was slow. One person serving and making the drinks. Please think about more staff on at peak times.
I came here with my two young daughters to be told they could not seat us even though the venue was only 1/2 full. Given my kids are young we were never going to be there for a long time, just a meal and leave. We were there at 6.15 and could have been gone by 7.00 to clear the table for the reservation. Disappointed that the staff couldn't see the situation and work us in.
Hadn't been here for a while and was impressed with the quality of the meal. It's standard pub grub but generous portions, fresh and well presented. For those interested, the Seniors Menu has more variety than the usual bistro and very good value. Relaxed atmosphere in a pleasant rural setting. Will be visiting here more often in the future. We ate here recently and were very happy with our exceptional value seniors meals. The food was delicious, portions large and about $14 a meal.The kids were happy with their choices and the other adults all enjoyed their meals. The pup is more a restaurant with an outdoor area and a great TV area for kids.
