On July 13, 2024, we were looking forward to having a good lunch here after a long day running errands and before heading back to Hilo. We ordered 2 plates of grilled mahi with sides. The mahi portion on each plate was very small on a scarce bed of chopped cabbage. It was not worth $19 each. Then they charged us $4.50 for each medium drink. 2 lunches for just over $49... and we tipped on top of that! We don't mind paying a little more than before but we do mind getting less for the money. It kind of dampened our spirits. We'll eat somewhere else next time.
Shout out to Pine Tree Cafe for going above and beyond! I had to place a large takeout meal for a meeting, and they made the effort to add the name on each order! Made it so much easier to distribute the food. They also have ridiculously large portions that I was able to have 2 meals! Highly recommend their Spicy Garlic Chicken plate.
Great little breakfast place that opens when you want breakfast, not lunch like all the other places when I was looking. I've always had a motto for finding great food in new places, Go Where The Locals Go! The Pine Tree was hopping with people grabbing food on their way to work and I can see why. So much to choose from!
The food is good but very expensive. They have tables inside but when we were there we couldn't find a table to sit and eat. It's better to order take out. They give you a receipt with the total cost and not itemized with what you ordered. We think we were over charged or the soda was 7.00 each.

First time trying food here!! Was ONOLICIOUS!!! We had their Grilled ahi sandwich, ono fish and chips and kalbi plate and all of it was perfectly done... delicious...will definitely go again! Not cheap but worth it!
This is not a restaurant. Plastic forks and knives. No plateswe were served with Cary out boxes. For the price way way not worth it
Good food, but long wait because it attracts a lot of customers because of varieties of foods that they offer on their menu .
Great local food. We went here 4x times during our 7 day stay. Something for everyone. Korean wings was a hit for my family
