Pitorro - Reserva de mesa

Pitorro was recommended by my hair stylist. As I was leaving her, I told her I was so hungry but didn't want to go home to cook..(Don't judge..lol) I stopped in for take out...walked in within SECONDS the music grabbed me. There were no patrons at the time...BUT I knew w/Latin Rhythms Aroma of mi Ilsa ...this was IT . I BARELY got in my door b4 i was pickin at the pernil, made it in the house..served myself arroz con gandules, pernil y 1 pastel. WOW, was like mami made me dinner! I'll be honest, I no longer cook with salt, so i DEFIANTLY FELT THAT....Burt I will DEFINITELY BE BACK DINE IN Gracias

I typically don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience this time. First off, I want to highlight just how clean this restaurant is! The owners make you feel like part of the family, and the waitress was absolutely fantastic. As for the food, it was hands down the best Puerto Rican cuisine I've ever had outside of my home. I’ve visited many places that I won’t return to, but this one is simply delicious. You won't be disappointed!

I’m so excited! This is exactly what West Haven needed – finally authentic Puerto Rican food, and it’s delicious! I had the mofongo with shrimp, and it was to die for. The owners are fantastic; I recently met them in my line of work after they moved to West Haven, and I'm absolutely thrilled to have found this gem!

On February 17, 2018, I tried the shrimp mofongo, and it was absolutely delicious! The alcapurias were the best I've had in years. I will definitely be ordering from here again. Reserva una mesa ahora
