I have been to several Pizza Delights and this one really surprised me in a good way. It was bigger and had more than one seating area, which allowed it to be a bit more private. We were there to celebrate a birthday and I was really impressed by the variety of options. You could get an entree, side dish and a drink. There was a good variety of salad dressings, including Catalina The food was very good and, although our server had a party of 12 in the other section, we did not have to wait very long for our order. There was a supper buffet and my dining partner was quite pleased with the choices. I could see that they were salads, pizzas and spaghetti, as well as one or more dessert pizzas....
a work pizza and garlic finger ordered for picking up yesterday. always used to be satisfied with this pd, but from late it is slipped strongly. this time the garlic would have waved to the fingers. nothing more. and very dry. the work was pizza. essentially a teig disc with an esspoon sauce and a small assembly of minute crumbs, which were somehow thought to work but not even cover the full diameter of the pizza, essentially expanding the rolls of the crust halfway into the center. barely. an epic failure to the previous years. probably do not return; too much money for müll. Perhaps they try to recover from the Covid years by offering less for more, as has become more disturbing in the hos...
Pizza Delight is my absolute favourite pizza place in the world. Despite the name suggesting otherwise, it's not the pizza that keeps me coming back, but rather the mouth-watering garlic fingers and delectable donair sauce that accompany them. Having visited numerous places throughout Canada and beyond, I have yet to find anything that even comes close to the deliciousness of Pizza Delight's garlic fingers. While their pizzas are also top-notch, it's the award-winning garlic fingers that truly steal the show for me. Living in Vancouver, I always make it a point to visit Pizza Delight whenever I find myself back in the east - it's a must-visit for me.
We visited for a quick lunch before heading to the local beaches, how ever there was nothing quick about it. We had to wait an excessive amount of time to get someone to take our order, and then we sat and watched everyone else get...their food even though we had been here for about 20 mins before them. The server was more concerned in having lengthy conversations with random guests than actually serving patrons, the table was sticky and the temperature was ridiculously cold. A Monday evening retirement dinner for about 30 people was a fantastic evening. The food was exceptional. Very hot and tasty. The service was engaging and fun. The waitress was our lone server and had personality plus. She had us all laughing on multiple occasions. The owner of the restaurant even stopped in for a bit of time with the retiree. We had a room off to the side separate from the main restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant.
Pizza Delight has always been my go-to pizza restaurant for dining in. I live in Halifax and I knew I wanted to celebrate my birthday at PD. Despite driving over an hour to get there, I was not disappointed. Even though there was a mix-up with my order, our server Carolyn was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere at Pizza Delight is cozy and inviting.
