I 've only ever left two trip advisor reviews including this one, because usually I 'm not too fussed about service or food quality as long as it 's somewhat decent. My latest trip to this Pizza Hut was so subpar I actually bothered to open up trip advisor to vent. I came with my girlfriend for a quick meal after work. Everything was fine up until our orders were taken. First of all, I understand that Pizza Hut does not offer half and half pizzas which is perfectly okay, what my girlfriend asked for however, was for the toppings on her pizza only be applied to half the pizza so that if she didn 't like it, she would still have a plain Margherita half that she could eat. Hey guys, I just finished a meal out with my mum here (Wigan). I wanted to let you know about my experience. It’s not that I don’t recommend but there seems to be some cross communication regarding the salad bar. Let me explain…. Mum and I spend almost £30 on 2 pizzas and fries. I went to the salad bar but she did not. I filled one bowl of nachos. Usually I leave a couple of slices at the end and so I asked for a box. As it states on the menu, the salad bar is unlimited and I had one measly bowl of nachos, so before I was leaving, I put my pizza left overs in a box and added some more nachos into the box. I am so disappointed on how bad Pizza Hut in Wigan has gone it used to be lovely. Now you have to get your own menus own knifes and forks own straws etc you then have to order your food yourself online which is so slow it took me 25 mins to order our food and drinks by then we was desperate for a drink! Also there was loads not available no SALAD! No chicken no beer no garlic bread loads. Then they said they got a delivery of salad. Which was brought out with no dressing as asked for. The sharing pizzas can turn out expensive, as one that feeds two is around £25 depending on what crust you want and any extras this can turn out a bit pricier than a traditional Italian restaurant. However, I pay these prices because the cheesy,garlic dough balls you can choose as a crust are amazing! This is an additional £5 to have as an optional crust, you get about 4 on each 'crust ' per slice. The dough balls are self explanatory, cheesy and garlicky. And very tasty There is also the salad bar, which is free, this is just average nothing special but a nice free option that is for anyone who dines in. Sorry, and sad to write this as we used to love the Pizza Hut experience. Also this isn’t limited to Wigan as it happened in Blackpool too, so must be decisions at a higher level. As soon as you walk in… ‘we only take cards’ something I never understand, i was going to pay by card anyway, but believe the choice is mine not theirs. Ushered to a seat and then given the option to down load an app and order online.. this is the craziest request ever as we are in a restaurant as a treat and not ordering a takeaway.. Came here at the weekend with a friend for their birthday, staff greeted us warmly but we was informed that to order we have to use QR codes or go to a website. I 'd unfortunately forgot my phone and my friend 's phone couldn 't scan codes and didn 't handle the website super well. We did manage to get it to work but it took a good 10 minutes. I just wished I 'd maybe been told on the phone this is how pizza hut operates now. The food was amazing, loved the cheesey triangles and our half and half pizza was fantastic. We ordered our food online from your website for delivery on 29th..this would be the Pemberton branch. You took our money.. 3 hours plus later we still never got it.. and today we are still waiting for our refund. Your admin team have replied and investigated. No reason why you took our money with no delivery. We later drove up to the restraunt to find it was closed. Met the driver who also got a notification to pick the order up. Your system notified us later it was delivered. Obviously automated. So much for service. I would not recommend Pizza Hut as the service is very poor.
Went last night with a party of twelve, for a twelfth birthday celebration. The food was good, salad bar fully stocked and the staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the lady I believe was the manager. Happy to recommend and will come again.

The title says it all. Since changing ingredients to cut costs and speed up cooking time, the pizzas just taste bland. So disappointing as it used to taste so good.
