Pizzeria du Mercadial

This restaurant is in a beautiful square in this lovely town. In the summer there is a large outdoor sitting area in the square, with lots of shade. I have eaten here five or six times at all times of year. The staff are pleasant, the surroundings lovely, and the pizzas are really very good. As well as the usual ingredients they also use slightly unusual toppings such as smoked mozzarella, bresaola, cured ham and italian chorizo. For those not as hungry they will prepare smaller pizzas with a salad, but pizzas are not the only choice. There is usually a dish of the day, but a menu of other meals as well. Two meals with puddings, drinks and coffee were about 44 euros. Highly recommended.

On the previous three nights we had eaten at very nice restaurants around the town. They were all very good but I really fancied a change. There is a really good choice of pizzas at a really good price. They were about 9 euros upwards depending on the ingredients. I have not had a pizza for about 9 months and it was delicious. I always ask myself, would I come here again? Yes , it ticks a few boxes. Service,taste,price. All very good. Pizza is a simple meal but I did really enjoy this one. I believe this is a family business but I stand to be corrected. It is strange how this restaurant has split opinions.

Best ingredients put together on the best pizza dough. We found there a passionate cooker willing to put his soul into the food he makes. Dont forget that here, the service is very fast and his wife is more than happy to show you that the french humour is very subtile.

Very nice restaurant with a a great terrace in the heart of St Ceré perfectly in the shade on a hot day. Pizza are ok, the confit was seriously nice! The owner is very nice and friendly.
