I enjoyed my meal at PJ O'Reilly's - a chicken burger with chips. My friend indulged in the Kim Beazley, a rather fancier burger. Mine, with avocado, lettuce, tomato and cheese was exactly what I wanted: not too overwhelming, with fresh salad and succulent chicken breast. If I had not eaten all the chips (too nice to leave) this would have been a very healthy meal. The burger was served with a small, but quite enough, bowl of sauce and the tempting chips. The key word to our meals is 'fresh'. As they arrived this was the description that leapt to mind. Not a limp lettuce leaf in sight, a tired tomato or cold bun or chip - just a good, filling and tasty meal. The atmosphere on Tuesday night w...

I went to this Irish pub with a couple of work mates. It has a nice looking décor, though when we went along it was quite empty and so it lacked much in the way of atmosphere.Still, the food was okay. I had the pork and it was quite reasonable, though it wasn't super warm and so it wasn't as enjoyable as I would have liked. The person with the steak said it was okay but lacked much in the way of flavour. Probably the star of the it was the parma based on the feedback from who had that.It was overall 3+ or 4-.
I live a stones throw away. I have been now twice. Tonight will be the last time. The service was unfriendly and they both were either to busy talking to the young guys or outside talking to serve a actual customer. Ordered the steak and it was in eatable. Not only did it taste like they needed to clean their grill but it was full of fat not a ouch of meat on the cut. I've eaten many many steaks and this I wouldn't feed to my dog. Returned to staff and was offered a free drink, what a joke.
I popped into P.J O'Reilly's for a nightcap and a late night snack at 8.45pm. Dinner was finished but bar snacks were ongoing. I selected deep fried pork belly - a mere $15.00 - and was suitably impressed. The range of Pale Ales on tap was splendid, especially the Hippotamus for only $5.00 a schooner! It was a quiet night with an upcoming overnight temperature of -9C. But the place was still open and for that I commend the management. I will be going back soon! Reserva una mesa ahora
Three of us were staying for over a week in a hotel along the street, so this was an obvious place to go for a meal and some beer. It could have become our regular for several return visits. I have to say I was disappointed.... a good Irish pub should have better food and the service should be cheery and entertaining. Maybe we just caught them on an off night. But, given our experience, we did not return.... we found many better alternatives in the area.
All, Was a long time customer, until this evening. Over the past few months the basics have been glossed over for a hospitality business. Granted, they are gearing up for better things if you listen to the scuttlebutt, but based in the last few months of service... As Gandalf says, flee, flee for your lives
A friend and I both ordered a main at the same time. She had finished hers by the time mine arrived which wasn't good.Quality and quantity of food was fine (we both ordered from the schnitzel selection) and the prices were good. Service, apart from the wait, was ok.
Called in here for a quick drink after shopping. Loved the decor very hip and funky. Very relaxed would have liked to stay longer. Bar staff were very easy on the eye also. Reserva una mesa ahora
Friendly staff and plenty of room. We enjoyed a few drinks while taking refuge from the weather and were quite comfortable thanks guys.
I enjoyed my meal here. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, and I enjoyed a delicious and filling schnitzel.

"Comfortable, clean, attentive service. The portions can be inconsistent. I ordered the Avocado bruschetta, unfortunately it was drowning in a heavy balsamic thickened sauce which totally overpowered the delicate flavor of the avocado"
