The bartender was very friendly. The menu offers a standard selection along with 10 different special burgers. I ordered a classic cheeseburger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and some pickles. The burger was good—not amazing, but not bad either. One thing I found quite odd for a place with so many burgers on the menu was the lack of small round pickle chips, which are usually common on burgers (like those you'd find at McDonald's). They did serve a pickle spear on the side, but there weren’t any pickles to use directly on the burger. This struck me as a bit strange.

We went for lunch to try out there well-known Ruben's sandwiches. They lived up to there fame of delicious rye bread with a large amount of corned beef which was not fatty. A nice amount of cheese and dressing. The sandwich was very large and delicious. I had tea with it which was good but maybe not the best choice to go with this corned beef sandwich. Not sure what would have been better. Maybe my friends choice of root beer would have been the key. Would return for service alone! I went with my adult (and elementary aged) kids yesterday and wondered how I’ve never been before! Nobody’s drink was ever empty, nobody walked past us and left empty plates/glasses/bottles on our table, and our server Kayla was great! The food was standard pub fare and came out hot, and in a reasonable amount of time. The patio is cozy, drinks were cold. We really haven’t experienced service like this in a long time. We will definitely be back again!
Should’ve had the burger. St. Louis is known for neighborhood bars. This was one of Kirkwood‘s finest. Great atmosphere great service. Really great place to drop in. Sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing. The fellow patrons very friendly. This place is famous for burgers. We had the prime rib sandwich and the Reuben with onion rings. The food was good, but not spectacular.

Dined with a friend following a late Sunday afternoon show at the KPAC. Food was tasty and well executed fries were especially good and the service was wonderful. It 's a good place for a relaxed conversation in a laid back environment just what we were looking for. Surpassed my yes, I 'll return test.
Katelyn was great. She was very attentive and quick. I am impressed with her professionalism behind the bar. I didn't have any food but everything I saw looked great. I would recommend this place to anyone who hasn't been here before. Cheers!
Never had a bad meal. Lunch or dinners have been very good. Great service. Drinks are great and the restaurant is close to many things to do in Kirkwood. I recommend.
I've been a customer since 2004. My favorite choice of food are their hot wings and potato skins. Service is great and the atmosphere is very welcoming.
