Maison publique Cameron (Cameron Public House) is a cozy little pub nestled just into Quebec. This restaurant was a nice spot to grab an early dinner at the end of a long road trip day. The umbrellas on the patio keep you nice and cool on a hot summer day. The food was filling and adequately tasty. The buffalo chicken burger was very filling, spiced well, but definitely on the dry side. The quesadillas were generously packed with chicken and cheese, but were bland. We had drinks and some appetizers at this pub ahead of a music show. The patio was lacking in ambiance, with no music. It made us feel as if we had to have hushed conversations and we could hear every word of anyone else's chats. The server was effective but seemed a bit disconnected. The busgirl and other waitress seemed much more alert and were circulating frequently filling waters and checking in their customers. A bit of bad luck on our part. To add to our dissatisfaction, the beer we wanted wasn't available, and the service was quite slow. There was only one staff member working who appeared to be disinterested. We ordered chicken nuggets for the kids, and in hindsight, we should have known better. We ended up paying $32 plus tax for just 10 frozen dino nuggets, which you can buy at the grocery store for about $10. That's on us for not checking first. I understand that everyone can have an off day, but it's important to manage the expectations of your guests. Unless a family with children isn't part of your target market, what’s the point? Went there for an impromptu quick bite! But seeing it was wing nite and a beautiful day today! Was busy with 2 servers and some dipstick manager behind the bar! Server was pleasant But lots of people sitting outside For 45 minutes no acknowledgement when food finally arrived for us cold and disgusting. Wow I know it's a pub but looked terrible and all I had in my plate was cold! I blame it on management from not controlling the situation! Will I go back or recommend the restaurant? Great spot to have some drinks and food. Dominic was great! We phones the day before to ask if they would be playing Game 7 of the Leafs series. He made sure the game was on when we arrived. It was a great spot to watch the game. Thanks Dominic. The waiter took our order of 3 appetizers 20 minutes after we said we were ready to order. The table next to us who ordered full meals after us we ordered got their food first.
