We visited every day of our holiday to buy bread, wonderful choice. We had coffee on a couple of occasions, really good, and the ice cream was superb. Didn't sample the cakes, but they looked perfect. Lovely outside area for eating and drinking, but also...good inside if the weather isn't favourable. The people who run this little boulangerie/café are welcoming and service is great. On our first visit the weather was very wet, and my husband had slipped and cut his hand just before we went in for coffee. stops here for lunch al fresco on the marketplace through the office de tourism. it is first line a terrace, so no hot food is available, but they have a series of six different salads, of which we thought were excellent value...and they had also available stores either filled or caught. the personal was friendly and very helpful with our blunt hair and the salates we decided to have enormous and tasty. we would have had one of the tempting looking gateways to follow, but instead opted for an ice. well recommended
super friendly bakery coffeeshop with a lot of tasty homemade snacks. the chorizo tea with a green salad was amazing, but the quiches each fougasse also looked fab. wine with a carafe or bottle was as available as beer from the...fridge we visited in the mai on a windy but sunny day. in the height of the summer a shadow would be essential. the coffee was excellent. in any case somewhere to return to the next time, we drive from saint martin de ré
we were Euro-Camping near loix on the ile de re. the village loix is tiny but beautiful. there is a jewel in the krone and this is its bakery and small caffe. they can take with or lunch. the selection is limited for. hearty dishes, but excellent worth. the owners are beautiful and their toilets are hotel standard. for a family it was simply brilliant, a beautifully clean, cool affordable place with good eating. fab for coffee and a tasty too.
