OMG, so great! Today I had her Camarones al Ajillo (garlic shrimps the broth is so delicious, and the shrimps were perfectly cooked. I also ordered the Minuta Soup Tonite, with chicken....I had a taste of my date a few weeks ago with the beef and it was delicious. The broth is amazing. I also get a 1/2 of their pollo a la Brasa whenever I order... it is very expensive and is perfectly prepared.... chic, moist, crisp skin. I order it for lunch in the week, but again, tonite, it's half gone. Maybe I should order the whole thing. Very recommended. Small Peruvian restaurant, a little upscale compared to the other Peruvian places in towns close by, i thought the menu was a little more limited in terms of Peruvian dishes but they had the basics. Still, if you go to a place with Chicken in the name of the restaurant, it makes sense to order the chicken which I did and was glad I did. It was good. Peruvian places that serve rotisserie chicken usually make it very good and this place did. Service was very good and accommodating. A surprise and gem of Garwood. Went for dinner with a small group of people, and could not have been more pleased. The service was quick, the host/server was friendly and answered all questions as we didn't know much about Peruvian cooking. She was wonderful! The place is small, and on a casual classy side. We all had a dish with chicken, and all dishes were given two thumbs up. Not overly seasoned or spicy. The portions are decently sized, and the price is more then reasonable. If going with a group, they did get busy throughout the night, so I would suggest a call ahead.
We enjoyed our first taste of their chicken, salad and plaintains. Very nice waitress, generous portions, good prices--and BYO. Hugo's chicken in Rahway has more herbs and spices on their chicken. Place is clean and has not do enough publicity to get noticed widely. Many Peruvian dishes on the menu if you want to venture past chicken, but this is not the usual chicken and ribs Portuguese BBQ.

Delicious fresh food with perfect service and excellent value. Chicken was perfect, steak seasoned and sautéed with onions was delicious and rice with beans was excellent. Very nice atmosphere with beautiful full blown pictures of Peru. A refreshing homey dining experience. A big thank you to our friendly waitress!
My husband and I had lunch here and it was delicious! We started with the fried calamari, which a half order of, was more than enough. We also had the papas a la huancaina and the chaufa de mariscos. Mind you, we split these dishes and still walked out very full and satisfied. Would definitely go back.

So. I have been dying to try this place as I pass by it every day and today is the day. Inside the atmosphere is really nice surprising anyone who passes by. The music is great and the prices are really reasonable. Delicious perfectly cooked chicken is your reward for stopping in
