My wife and I are regular visitors to Etaples and Le Touquet and have enjoyed eating at Planet Ocean many times. On this occasion however we experienced a significant change. Much reduced menu listed on our placemat with no a la carte nor full entree menu. Instead there was a buffet entree which was very limited with smoked salmon being the only worthy option available. I ordered fish and chips from the placemat and my wife the fish/sea food taglatelle. My main was okay but my wife's had very little fish and almost no seafood but lots of pasta! We have come here for lunch once a year for the past few years. Normally we are very satisfied which is why we come back but this time we were very disappointed. Service was very slow and they had to be reminded to serve the bottle of wine we ordered. The self service starters were fine, but the fish and chips ordered by two of us was very sub standard. Not only was it a long time coming, but when it did arrive it was over cooked and dry. We were convinced that it had been re heated. Not at all enjoyable. The young waiter did his best, but he was untrained and dropped two dirty knives on to my lap. When I paid the bill and reported our dissatisfaction, the young lady was not at all intereste...

Great place upstairs on the riverfront in Étaples. Nice outside seating area with great views of planes landing at Le Touquet airport. Brilliant seafood as you’d expect we both has mussels and the portion was huge and the mussels were really fresh and no grit at all. Service was really friendly and excellent price. Would recommend highly.

Fresh out of Le Tunnel, we enjoyed a very nice first lunch in France on our family weekend away. Excellent moules frites. Nice staff. We sat on the balcony overlooking the river.

Seafood at its best served in a calm quiet clean environment with great views of the Bay de la Canche. Great value for money. Good service. Ample Parking.
