So, that was my 6th or 7th visit in plates and each time before the meal was excellent, but not tonight. the four of us ordered oysters, and they were shaken clearly on the day and when they arrived at our table, they were dried out. I expect uttering to be moist and thin not moist and sticky. as far as the escapes were concerned, the fried chicken was excellent, but the rest of us ordered fish, 2 steel head and 1 scallops. the preparation of the fish itself was perfect, but the sauce and the pure one overwhelmed. fish should be simple and clean, not overly decorated. the deserts were good and were a welcome end to a meal that was too complicated. We have been to plates many times and enjoyed the food. However, this time was the most awful food, the service was good, but the food was terrible. We will never go back. As I understand the restaurant is for sale and they don’t care about the food anymore. It’s sad to ruin their reputation!!!
Always a good meal there whether with family or friends. Have tried many things on the menu and they are all delicious. Service can be slow, but it's never a reason not to return!
Excellent food and service Chef and waiter were v intent on accommodating our guest/ friend’s particular food requirement with a wonderful preparation that she thoroughly enjoyed.

I love Plates. Intimate quiet setting with excellent food and service. The menu is diverse and there is something for everyone. Complimentary fresh baked sticky buns is a plus.
I don't know what happened here. I liked this place, but he quickly went south. note for the owner: not large listening music interrupted by radio ads. a wreck.
Eclectic menu with healthy options. Quaint decor. Outstanding service. I would highly recommend Plates.
the tables on the back of the restaurant are nice and private, no noise level
