The service team at Platzhirsch is first rate. Tonya and Gabi are friendly and professional--treating guests as family. The bartender was kept constantly busy, but not so busy she didn't provide friendly conversation to the guests. The meals are exceptional. This is a place you can bring out of town guests and feel confident that the experience will exceed expectations. I was on a business trip in Boeblingen and I ate at this restaurant twice. The food is the best. The food presentation is top notch and the ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic. The menu is simple and is regional dishes. The price is good for the quality of the food. The staff are friendly and helpful. One time I order a pork disk with swabian noodle with mix vegetable. The dish came in a sizzling hotplate along with a plate containing the sauce in a sauce cup. Me being stupid, I started eating the dish out of the hotplate. The Platzhirsch is an excellent restaurant for local Swabian cusine. The menu is almost entirely meat, with a fish offering on a rare occasion. The food is always excellent regardless of what one orders. Have been here several times and never disappointed. The atmosphere is definitely rustic and functional. Many large tables with a handleful of small tables, so it can be a bit challenging if one is dining alone on a busy night.The staff is very friendly and very helpful with one who is a non native speaker.You will enjoy the experience. Highly recommend it.
You get local food. Definetely from regional food maker. And the local beer. The meals are very good craft work. Tasty. Prices are medium. We had duck, Schnitzel, soups and salad. All excellent. The staff is very friendly and supportive.Beware: main season like the days before christmas or on sundays you might experience that people and stuff are too busy. Make sure that you will be seated in the main house.

Okay, the interior is a bit functional. So not a romantic place. But if you want nice Swabian food in a local atmosphere you will find it here. Try the maultaschen and the rostbraten. I found it to be very good versions of the traditional food. Nice selection of beers available. On top of this the service was extraordinary for one lady covering the full restaurant. Impressive. I would go here again.
Found a perfect sunny day to hang out on the patio.The staff was friendly and helpful, giving great advice on what to order and what goes well with what.The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the steak strips with fried potatoes and I loved every bite.For dessert, I had the hot raspberries with ice cream and it went perfect with the meal.Will definitely make this a regular meal!
Fabulous German restaurant in Boblingen - every single menu item is outstanding and the Chef's specials are amazing as well. We love the zwiebelrostbraten, schnitzels, and chef's specials. Also serves local beer.
Classic German Beer hall, The Beer is very good, look for the seasonal offerings. Have the BIG pretzel with butter, soups are very very good, had a few meals here and all were well prepared
