In September 2021 we had a beer there cycling back from Cap d’es Pinar and decided next year we will eat there. Moving on a year. Booked a table for lunch as you are unlikely to get one if you did not. Serving staff was excellent. Gave you enough space so that you did not feel hurried. I had the Pulpo Gallega. I was warned that the portion is not big but still ordered it. It was absolutely fantastic. My wife had the Grilled Squid. I tasted a bit. Last had any as good as this in Kalk Bay South Africa a few years back. Our compliments to the staff and the “boss lady”. You will definitely see us again in September 2023. The South Africans.
Wow! What a place! Really fun vibe. Lovely staff. Everyone was so happy and so helpful. Great DJ music (not too loud but loud enough to create a fabulous atmosphere). The food was absolutely delicious (we had the grilled squid and chips). And seriously their almond ice cream was beyond delicious. Nice crowd of people eating and drinking there couples, families etc. (We were three sisters on holiday together). It is right on the beach too! (And the beach is a nice quieter one not packed). All round brilliant! Thank you for looking after us. We went twice in one week. Would definitely recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment.
Hace 10 años que comimos por primera vez en Bar Playa. Y nunca decepciona. Tuvimos 3 almuerzos. La ensalada César es montañosa; una de las mejores que he tenido en cualquier lugar. El lenguado es carnoso y ligero en textura. Julie, la anfitriona, es la personificación de la paciencia y se esfuerza al máximo para tratar de complacer a todos. ¡Nos vemos en 2024!
El servicio fue deficiente, no conseguimos una mesa a pesar de haber llamado con antelación para reservar. Nos dijeron que solo debíamos presentarnos, pero cuando lo hicimos fueron groseros y nos dijeron que teníamos que esperar 1,5 horas. El ambiente también era muy ruidoso y desordenado.

Atracado en un paseo en bicicleta y reservado por unos días más tarde para celebrar un cumpleaños de amigos. No decepcionó extremadamente ocupado pero gran vibración y servicio y comida tanto excelente como buen valor. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita!
Excelente! No teníamos reserva y nos pusieron en lista de espera; llegada la hora nos atendieron muy bien! Pedimos un entrecot irlandes y unas flores de alcachofas, de postre tarjeta de queso y café! Calidad precio muy buena. Las vistas son estupendas!
Well, if anyone was to ever feel homesick or scared of being abroad for the first time Kitkat at this place will make you feel relaxed, calm and safe until his jokes get you so tickled that you need the blankets, heater on and shots to get you frisky!
It is busy. Be prepared to book. Of course by the beach is great the hosts are great Great ambience. Excellent service
