I decided to try this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation, and I was really impressed! I thoroughly enjoyed the couple of times I visited, but I did start to notice some inconsistencies in the quality of the fruit and portion sizes. Inconsistency in food is one of my biggest pet peeves, which is why I haven't gone back in a while. This place was my introduction to açaí bowls, and I found them to be absolutely delightful. I just wish there was more consistency in the food, and it would be nice to not receive a sticky bowl—it's quite uncomfortable to handle!
My husband and I are both from San Diego, CA, and the atmosphere here took us back to Oceanside. We enjoyed the delicious acai bowls very much. I would have rated this place 5 stars, but I noticed that the staff seemed a bit grumpy. Wishing you all the best and much success!
Typically, my experiences here are great. However, today when I ordered an açaí bowl without coconut flakes and with extra Nutella—due to my allergy to coconut—I found that the workers had topped the bowl with a layer of coconut flakes and omitted the Nutella altogether.
I was looking for something fresh, light, healthy, tasty, and satisfying, and Playa Bowls delivered on all counts. I ordered the Electric Mermaid with chia seeds, and it was absolutely delicious. It was exactly what I needed. I will definitely be back!

Every item on the menu is incredible! My husband and I order from this place around 2 to 4 times a month because we can't get enough! I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try if you haven't already!
I absolutely loved the Nica Bowl! Everything was beautifully arranged and thoughtfully crafted. The cold brew was incredibly smooth and just the right amount of sweetness. I highly recommend both!
Wow, their Nutelloco bowls are incredible! I visited yesterday at 5:04 PM, and the person who made my bowl had the most captivating eyes. God bless her, the company, and everyone there!
