The original school door as their entrance, the marching band memorabilia, the chandelier, the bakery, the bar, the friendly staff, AND THE FOOD all contributed to a great experience. I enjoyed their breakfast before teeing off at Mustang Creek Golf Course. Two items immediately impressed me. One was the sausage links. Honestly, I've never eaten any sausage as authentic and delicious as these sausages. The second item was their sourdough toast. As a sourdough fanatic from San Francisco, I'm almost always disappointed with the quality of sourdough bread served in restaurants. Not here! We took friends to Plowman’s for breakfast. The breakfast was more of a brunch type menu with additional entrees in addition to the breakfast items. I ordered Chicken Fried Chicken, with the two sides being fruit and deviled eggs. The entree came out with a great appearance however the chicken was uneatable having the texture of a hard piece of rubber. I must say that I’d never been served something with such texture. Another entree we had ordered was French toast which again looked great. Instead of the contents of the plastic syrup cup being syrup, it was balsamic vinegar salad dressing which was poured onto the French Toast. The atmosphere is fantastic!l, the old school conversion is super cool!It’s southern cooking and is delicious. They have all the staples with a twist and some unexpected options. The meatloaf and chicken fried steak are phenomenal. The seasonal veggies and okra are mouthwatering, and the pan fried biscuits are just like my mom makes (amazing).We joked about finding a house and moving to Taylor just to eat here! Or is it a joke…

Wonderful history and the best homemade pastries I’ve had in my whole life! Clean restrooms too at this adorable hole in the wall restaurant. Such history in the building and the family’s drive to provide made from scratch home cooked meals. Brought back great memories of the foods my family and friends made while I was growing up. We just enjoyed a birthday celebration for 12 members of our family. John was very attentive and accommodating to our needs. Our server did an excellent job as well. Everyone raved about the food and the service. I enjoyed the meatloaf and it was awesome! The cheese grits are a must-have as well. We will definitely be back!

Had a great experience at Plowman’s… with breakfast, lunch and dinner served all day, we will definitely be back. The service was good, the manager very nice and welcoming. The menu gave a good amount of options with plenty of choices of sides. Their pie was delicious.

Delicious food! I got the eggs benedict and they were on homemade biscuits. Food took a bit of time to come out, so don't expect a quick dinner. Fun setting in an old school building, right around the corner from Fred Kerley's wonderful portrait.

This was the third time we ate at Plowman and every time the food has gotten worse. Today even the scrambled eggs were so bad I couldn't figure out how a cook could even make and serve something this awful. We will not be back. Reserva una mesa ahora

I've been here multiple times now. The food is delicious, they have a full bar, great service, and their desserts are amazing! I'm definitely going to add this place to my regular rotation.
