Poet's Corner - Reserva de mesa

Visited with a colleague, had a hot chocolate and a Crunchie tray bake each. Hot choc was poor made from powder from a jar. Hot and wet which was about all that could be said for it. Drank it through necessity! Traybake was awful, like being back in the 1970’s covered in thick cooking chocolate, awful! They need to hire a decent baker or if it’s bought in choose a new supplier. Only two other people in, no atmosphere and cake display was awful poorly presented in a small glass cabinet. Wouldn’t rush back. Service was quick and friendly which was the big plus. £9.10 for two hot chocs and two traybakes.

I visited this cafe across from Burns Cottage. Upon entering, I noticed that none of the staff were wearing face masks, track and trace information was not requested, and I was directed to sit at a table that had not been properly cleaned. When I brought this to the attention of a staff member, they quickly sprayed the table but did not wipe down the seats and the table was not dried properly. The lentil soup I ordered was delicious and came with brown bread. However, the staff could use some improvement on following Covid 19 regulations.

Visited for a lunchtime snack and hot drinks after visiting Burns Cottage directly opposite the cafe. I had a veggie omelette and my husband had a bacon roll – both very tasty. The young lady serving could not have been nicer, when she saw I was taking photographs she offered to take a picture of me and himself together. The decor is fresh, bright and clean with nice little quirky Scottish details on the walls. Although we didn’t have any, the cakes in the cabinet looked delightful. I was very glad we went there.

very picturesque little town with the burns hut as a blast of its existence. the coffee shop over the street from the hut could be redesigned about the quantities of tourist they need to get. the small post office/ convenience store next door was an absolute tasty bite. beautiful with excellent staff. My husband had the porridge (which he was asked how he preferred it done, he then had an omelette, I had the small breakfast (They were so helpful and allowed me to change a couple of things) the food was excellent. The staff were lovely, friendly and made us feel so welcome, will definitely be back

The service was excellent and it was enjoyable to observe the garden in full swing. The coffee was superb and the simple dishes were nicely presented, however, I would have liked to see more Scottish options on the menu.

A lovely little cafe, was made to feel very welcome. A very clean tidy and busy place, staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The food was amazing. Will definitely be going back

I enjoyed a delicious Chicken and Rice soup with a beautiful view of Robert Burns' birthplace. The service was exceptional and the cozy atmosphere made it a worthwhile detour. A hidden gem! Reserva una mesa ahora

Premises were cold. Food ordered but took a while to be served, also quality was poor. Asked for tea for one it took three attempts before I could drink the tea.

This is one of my favourite haunts when I am staying in Ayr. The staff are great and the coffee and cakes are very good.
