Pokey's 8th Street Grill

I had high expectations for this restaurant (from it being packed and because it had 4.7 stars on google maps) but I was disappointed. I got the Philly Cheese Steak and steak taco. The Philly Cheese Steak was too salty, I believe it was caused by the soy sauce so I would recommend putting less. The steak taco had no add-ins! I was shocked when they told me that for around $4 I would get only the steak and sprinkled cheese (the kind you would have at a pizza restaurant). You can add more vegetables for 10 cents each, but I think that for $4, the taco should at least come with some sort of pico de gallo. The only thing I would recommend trying would be the fried potato chips. On the other hand...

I've been there three times now. The first visit, I had chicken fingers and homemade fries, while my husband ordered a burger (which I also tasted). Both dishes were delicious! Then we found out about the fish tacos, and I might never order anything else again. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable too.

West Point dining is very good for a small charming historic down town area. Pokeys is a place where my wife and I enjoy spending our time out. Food is excellent and we enjoy eating outside on the plaza area when weather permits. Feels like a date.It's not fancy it's not expensive but it never disapoints.

Fantastic venue! I attended a class reunion here and was impressed by the wonderful atmosphere. The place is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the food is amazing! The banana pudding was a standout—absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant! Reserva una mesa ahora

I went with a group of ten and arrived early to avoid the lunch rush, which was a good decision because there was quite a crowd. The clientele is primarily college-aged, with a few families and couples mixed in. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was excellent.

Pokey?s Grill is fantastic! I absolutely love the menu options and their food is impeccable. Service is friendly and super helpful. They?re pretty packed coke lunch time, and I see why! Their food is wonderful and does not disappoint. Excellent portion sizes too.

I got the steak nachos and hamburger steak with fries and a drink and my wife order the Buffalo nachos and we got an appetizer for fried pickles and it was great. Wonderful service and wonderful food

I don't get to eat here very often because I live in Auburn. Everything I've had is great. This time I had a burger. Best burger I've ever had! Reserva una mesa ahora

The little poke was delicious and the price is amazing for such great quality! I will be visiting many more times!
