We were searching for a cozy spot to wait out a passing storm, and although there wasn't much covered seating, we couldn't have found a better place! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a front-row view of the summer storm, captured some fantastic photos of a double rainbow, made new friends, and the clams were absolutely amazing! Since it was just the two of us, we thought 25 clams would be enough, but we devoured them so quickly that we considered ordering another batch! The garlic bread was perfect for sopping up the sauce, too. We will definitely make the trip back, even though we're coming all the way from Southern Maryland. Thanks, Polly's!
My wife and I had heard great things about Polly's and finally visited by boat. The staff were friendly and assisted us with docking and departing, as the space is quite limited. The food was outstanding, especially the 50 clams and tomato salad, and the view was stunning. As a business owner myself, I appreciated the manager's clear guidance to those who may not understand the challenges of running a business. They are a small establishment that needs to turn over tables to thrive. If you're a couple expecting to occupy a table meant for six, please use some common sense. We absolutely love this place and the manager!
My wife and I heard of Polly's and finally made it there by boat. The staff are friendly and helped us tie-up and depart as the docking situation is tight. The food was excellent (50 clams and tomato salad) and the view is beautiful. As a businessowner myself, I enjoyed the manager and his directions to people who simply don't understand what its like to run a business. They are small and need to flip tables, that's how they stay afloat. If you're two people and expecting to sit at a 6 top,think again and use a little common sense. WE LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE MANAGER.
I do have one important suggestion: they should consider adding more umbrellas or some form of roof cover. I've noticed two main issues – there isn't much protection from the rain, and on sunny days, there's a lack of shade. It would enhance the dining experience for customers to have comfortable seating options that protect them from the sun or light rain, allowing them to fully enjoy their meal without discomfort. The clams with garlic bread were incredible. I couldn’t get enough of the sauce and ended up asking for more garlic bread. The view was lovely, featuring a cloudy sunset, which added to the atmosphere. However, our food took a long time to arrive, despite the restaurant not being busy at the time, and my friend's burger didn’t meet his expectations. On a bright note, the live music was a nice touch!
Polly's Dock And Clamhouse is truly one-of-a-kind in Beach Haven. It's a relaxed beach destination with fantastic food, service, and location. The young, energetic kitchen staff provide exceptional service. I highly recommend trying the steamed clams. It's a BYOB place, and everything is clean and affordably priced. You can also enjoy stunning sunset views and live music.
The clams with garlic bread was amazing. Couldn't get enough of the sauce, and had to get an extra helping of garlic bread. The view was great, with a cloudy sunset, but nice none the less. But it took forever for our food even though the place wasn't busyat the time, and my buddy's burger was apparently not as good as he had hoped. The live music was a bonus though.
The food was fantastic! We stopped by one afternoon and enjoyed the cold lobster roll for lunch, along with some delicious clams. It was so good that we returned another night to try the warm lobster roll. Wow! Both were incredible! Our waitress, Kate, was the sweetest too! This has definitely become a family favorite at LBI. Food was great! we stop by one afternoon and enjoyed the cold lobster roll at lunch with yummy clams ofcourse! It was so good we return another night to try the warm lobster roll. Wow ?.. they both are fabulous! We also had the sweetest waitress namedKate!!!!!! LBI family favorite.
