"Decorated for Christmas and lovely. Attentive, friendly service. Soup was good. Two other guests had burgers and were happy. My pasta and vegetable dish was not good. Basically raw broccoli with a not good vodka sauce and zucchini, which I believe was $26."

However, upon arrival, the waitstaff seemed unaware of any special dietary requests. When I informed them about the prior assurance, I discovered that there were no accommodations for vegans at all. They simply removed the meat and fish sandwiches without understanding what a vegan diet actually entails. After we explained it to them, they returned with sandwiches filled with raw vegetables on a bun. They also offered hummus and cucumber sandwiches, but the scones, cakes, and desserts all contained milk, eggs, or cheese. I do appreciate the waitstaff for bringing out some fruit and sorbet as makeshift desserts, but this was far from what we expected from a High Tea experience. It’s misleadi...

Wow they really raised the prices for holiday high tea and they add a mandatory 20% tip. The total for the 2 of us was $191. The food was good but felt like it was sitting out for a while, so not great. It was so loud we could barely talk and it was just 2 of us. The waiter did not tell us all of the desserts or the jams and toppings. The tea selection felt somewhat limited to, but it was good. If I am going to spend this much, I'll go the city for the full experience with a nicer atmosphere. This was the first time I ever took my mom for a high tea and she says it's her last. I'd like to also note this was my third year in a row going to the Drake in Oak book for Holiday high tea.

One time only experience. We went for tea we were a little disappointed. The room was lovely and our servers were very nice. It started off good with champagne for the adults kiddie cocktails for the younger kids. We were served tea and the food and that's where I felt underwhelmed. The sandwiches tasted like they had been sitting out awhile. The bread felt hard, and one of my scones was burnt on the bottom. To me, this is a high price experience but not worth it. Plus I was charged an additional fee because it's the holidays yet we essentially got the same menu with a few desserts in red green. I would think twice before considering this.

We love to go for tea over the holidays and have for many years. This was our first time at The Drake Oakbrook but certainly had high expectations after having been for tea a couple times in Chicago. The food was horrible. Everything tasted like it was premade and served. Nothing tasted original or made fresh. I was offered more hot water for my tea at which point it was too early for more water and the server never came back. For the high cost per person I expected a lot better quality. The entire experience was very disappointing and we will not be back. Reserva una mesa ahora

Tuna ceviche was cut unevenly, big chunks with subpar crackers to go with it. Not as good as it could have been, or should have been. Fillet was undercooked on the border of raw and not tender with too much fat for that type of cut of meat. We were given the wrong drinks, service was extremely slow, but friendly. Bread came after we had appetizers and salad, and the butter was rock-hard, making it unspreadable Food was very underwhelming and disappointing. A $400 meal should've been phenomenal not low-grade as this was. We will not ever go back.

It was absolutely not worth the price. The server highlighted the couple things that were made in house (cake dome, lemon curd, and clotted cream), but the rest of it seemed store bought—as in I could go to the grocery store and get everything..not exactly what I expect for a price of $75/person. It also wasn't really decorated for Christmas despite it being a holiday tea. There was a tree on the lobby, but not much in the dining area. 100% regret spending the money on this, and would not recommend.

I had a wonderful time enjoying high tea with my daughter. It was delightful to dress up a little and showcase our best manners. The food was just what you would expect for a high tea experience. The servers truly understood that this is about creating a memorable experience for the diners. The only downside was a nearby table that had two young boys, one of whom had a terrible cough and didn't cover his mouth.

The dining room is lovely. I know there weren't a lot of wait staff which made the service a bit slow but now too bad. It was noisy as there was a wedding and then it got quite cool when the wedding party went into their room. They must have turned the heat down to accommodate the large wedding. I would prefer not to go when there is a wedding if I go again. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food served during afternoon tea is quite disappointing. While they can accommodate dietary restrictions, the gluten-free options are frankly inedible. The service is lacking, and given the quality and quantity offered for the price, it simply isn’t worth it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
