The food was excellent as well. The portions were enormous, so we each took home leftovers for lunch the next day. We started with their famous cheese soup, which was tasty but quite rich, and ordered some garlic bread. Both appetizers were enjoyable. Everyone loved their entrees, which were served quickly. My brother and his wife, who are big fans of Steak Milanesa, ordered that. My wife opted for the same, but with breaded chicken instead. I tried the ‘Uruguayo de Cerdo’, a breaded pork steak topped with cheese, bacon, and chorizo, and it was fantastic! All our meals arrived simultaneously, piping hot and perfectly cooked.

I typically order their personal pan pizza accompanied by fried plantains (plátano maduro) – oh my, it’s simply divine! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! The pizza sauce is perfectly balanced, not too overwhelming, and the cheese is incredibly fresh and melts in your mouth. So delicious! Their Caesar salad is also very crisp and fresh. We started with fried boniato, which was cooked to perfection and wonderfully crispy—just as it should be, though many restaurants tend to overlook this. For our entrées, we went with different yet similar options: one was fried fish breaded with morro rice and a salad, while the other consisted of fried fish pieces served with morro salad. While the service was lacking, the quality of the food made up for it. I would consider returning, prepared for the slower service.
My friend ordered the pork chops, which she absolutely loved and said were delicious and juicy. I believe they came with plantains, which she also enjoyed. Delicious food and reasonable prices, but the experience is let down by the crowd and service. I waited 30 minutes for a takeout order, and I wasn’t the only one—many others were waiting too. The staff seemed overwhelmed and ignored those inquiring about their orders. I'd recommend going only if you speak Spanish, as the atmosphere isn't very welcoming if you don’t.

Polo norte is Cuban style pizza/latían American Cuban food. We had the tamal de cazuela the garlic rolls and the pizza. The pizza was very mushy. The garlic rolls were excellent and my in law didn't enjoy the tamal. The chocolate milkshake was really good. Service was good.
Definitely overrated! The pizza lacks that Cuban flavor, tasted more like your regular American average pizza. Food was fresh and service was fast but there are better options

Love the pizza in Polo Norte, I think they changed the sauce on the spaghetti , was a little disappointed on the taste. Service was great as usual. Cortadito to was on point.
