Wow ! Just really excellent pizza. They make their own mozzarella cheese! That in itself is impressive, but hey have a series of amazing recipes garlic/spinach, spicy and plain margherita, delicious buttery mushroom with some kind of magic sauce, and so on. The crust is magical too....just the right amount of crispy and puffy (that 's not the right word, but it 's not 'doughy ' They do a terrific job and they are serving take out Thursday thru Sunday at Mandeville Beer Garden for now.....get some !
This restaurant in Connecticut is the best Italian restaurant around! The food is absolutely delicious, the staff goes above and beyond, and the live music adds a special touch. Donna, the hostess, is incredibly sweet and Avnor always ensures that my dining experience is excellent. I highly recommend trying the steak and the truffle ravioli. And don't miss out on the Napoleon for dessert – it's the best! It's definitely worth the drive from out of town to dine at Polpo.
Wood fired, chewy crust, tangy sauce, fresh milky mozzarella, and great topping options. Just a little wood fired char on the edges. Yum! We had the Bee sting which has a spicy cured meat (sopresatta? , honey, chile oil.... really delicious, with a tad of wood fired char on the edges of the crust. They also made an excellent kids pie with just cheese and olive oil for us. My three year old actually ate a slice and we gobbled up the rest!
We had Polpo cater our backyard wedding last weekend, and it was an amazing experience. The setup couldn't look any better, the pizza, salad, and bruschetta were incredible, and the Polpo crew is just so nice and helpful. Everyone has been raving about how excellent everything was, we just couldn't imagine it having been any better. We will continue to seek out this awesome food truck at local events!

Polpos actually catered my wedding! Danny was fantastic along the way and the food was absolutely incredible and a huge success. The pizza and appetizers were delicious and the look of the truck fit in so well with our wedding, it was almost like a free decoration! We did the octopus garden party and I think it was worth every penny of it! Highly recommend visiting them or hiring them for your event!
They just rock! Where can you find creatively done fresh pizza with an excellent crust and a changing menu every week that is just five stars every time you eat it? They make their own mozzarella! Whoever heard of that? You can taste it too! Can't say enough good things about them and I'm pretty much addicted.

Wood Fired Pizza from a truck?! The best Pizza I've ever had! wonderful flavor combinations and crust! If you see the old school truck driving down the road with the chimney smoking, follow them for the best pizza you'll ever have!
