As you walk in you immediately appreciate the beautiful building, sympathetically restored. As it was half term, the cafe was extremely busy with a lovely buzz. Although busy, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and pleasant greetings. There is plenty of choice on the menu from soup, a variety of sandwiches/wraps to salads and baked potatoes, to name but a few of the options! As my friend and I had visited quite a few times before, we knew the portions were extremely generous so opted to share a sandwich in order to have one of the beautiful home made cakes. The bread was fresh with a substantial filling. This was followed by a slice of carrot cake and lemon cake- delicious! We also apprec...

Visited the area today to walk the canal and fortunately also a boat trip across the viaduct. Looking for somewhere for lunch and pub appeared closed spotted the tea rooms opposite so decided to give it a try. Oh how pleasantly surprised we were. Out of season on a Tuesday expected it to be deserted but had a good amount of visitors to create a nice atmosphere. Really friendly and happy staff. Chose toasties with chips (my husband was delighted not to be forced to have yet another compulsory salad garnish). Both of us were well impressed in the well filled toasties (tuna and cheese/ham). Chips were lovely and chunky and plentiful. Together with a pot of tea for 2 (which was big enough to giv...

This is a wonderful cafe. It is a converted chapel, which has been done excellently. It is a five minute walk from the Pontcysyllte aquaduct. There is a good size car park there and they charge £2 to park ,but free if you eat or drink in the cafe. It can be very busy as they do lunches and afternoon teas. There were a group of people on a table near us and the afternoon tea looked amazing. All homemade . We had tea in porcelain teapots and china cups. Really traditional. I had carrot cake which was delicious and my husband had a scone with jam an cream . All the cakes looked delicious. There are lunch items like ham egg and chips and sandwiches etc. I wish I lived nearer to visit often .

Stopped here for something to eat, we had missed lunch time but they were still doing light snacks, we had cheese and ham toastie with chips with cakes and coffee and tea, the toastie was delicious and well filled, chips nice and chunky, cake was lush, very reasonably priced and a warm and cozy environment, highly recommend this was a great find and i will actively seek it out when next visiting the viaduct Reserva una mesa ahora

Attended a 90th birthday party buffet. Excellent selection including sandwiches, sausage rolls, mini quiche, chunky chips and then scones with cream jam, malt loaf and raspberry slice. The staff are amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Can't recommend this venue highly enough for a party booking, a spot of lunch or just a refreshing pot of tea/coffee. 10/10 for food and hospitality

Lovely dog friendly tea room set in a chapel. Stopped here after a walk for tea and scones and received a warm and friendly welcome from the owner and her staff. Tea was served in beautiful china and the scones were delicious. Although we didn’t eat here, the food looked great too.

Fabulous restaurant/tea rooms in atmospheric old chapel building. So good we visited twice while walking canal tow path. Super toasted sandwiches. Excellent menu choice and the food coming from the kitchens all looked good. Very pleasant staff. Highly recommended.

What a find! Full of Welsh character and charm. Amazing array of yummy cakes and a proper teacup and teapot for fellow tea lovers. Cosy and welcoming atmosphere created by the lovely staff. Next time I’ll bring a book and stay a bit longer! Thanks Sally
