First time back after Covid and was sad to learn the place had changed ownership. They still had desserts and a salad bar. The familiar dishes were still on the buffet. However, the taste isn’t how I remembered it to be. A little bit bland. Also, their mango ice cream, an old time favorite tasted more of cream than mango. They still provide naan on the side but this time, we only got 2 pieces of naan( 1/2 of a naan each). Staff looked angry and not at all attentive. In the past, if we ran out of naan, the kind lady would ask if we needed more naan. I won’t return.
Good selection of food: lamb, goat, chicken, vegetarian dishes, two rice variety, fresh made naan, tea, mango ice cream, fresh lettuce and fruit, etc. Buffet available only for lunch, and on Saturdays. New owner since 2023? Yet same cook. Pointed out to cashier food was barely warm for few dishes at 2.26.24 lunch buffet.
A great place for lunch in West Sacramento. They offer a good mix of vegetarian and meat options on the lunch buffet. The biryani is consistently tasty, the butter chicken is a classic favorite, and the goat curry is exceptional. I also enjoy the chai served on tap and the mango ice cream.
I think most people probably come for their buffet which is quite good and has a good variety of items. All the items I had were tasty. Tea was included in the buffet and I was pleasantly surprised. The mango ice soft serve looked good but lacked any mango flavor. Would go back.

Been coming to Pooja for over 15+ years. Overall probably one of the best lunch buffets in the Sacramento region. Excellent selection variety. So, the pandemic did cause the buffet to go away for quite a while. Happy to say the buffet is back in full force now. Enjoy!
The lunch buffet here is undoubtedly the best I’ve experienced in Sacramento; no other places even come close in terms of variety and flavor. The Indian food is truly excellent and definitely worth the drive across town.
The food is fantastic! You absolutely have to try the garbanzo beans, lamb, and goat. The chicken, naan, and mango ice cream are consistently delicious as well.
Food was delicious and service was great. I ordered our dinner and it was served quickly. Best Indian food yet great service definitely high recommended.

Amazing food! We ordered the feast plates which give you a sampling of a variety of dishes. Nice environment. We will definitely be back!!
This is the BEST Indian restaurant this side of the Mississippi.
