This place has more turnovers than Jameis Winston. Staff is continually rude, un empathetic and lack any semblance of professionalism. Oh, and they never seem to have Chicken and when they do, better check the bag because there is a 90% chsnce of them getting it wrong. During the pandemic, we understood given the state of inventory shortages, but once other chicken places began to consistently have food, there was not longer any excuses, yet even in 2022, they're still having problems which leads me to believe it's not being run effectively. I've reached out to corporate several times with no emails/calls in return. They only get 2 stars because that Spicy Chicken sandwich is the real deal (when they have it).
So, I drove from Nichols, NY to this location with a friend, so pretty decent drive. We get there, had our eyes set on some deals from the app, we went in to try to order. They barely had chicken left on their trays. Mind you, it's 9:45pish at this time(they closed at midnight, per their app) they told us that there won't be any more chicken made(we wanted tenders), because the cleaner was cleaning the kitchen and they didn't want him to be bothered by putting more chicken tenders down because he was the only cook on.... I'm sorry, what? You refuse to make more tenders 2 hours before close because your only kitchen person is cleaning? This location is ridiculous. I suggest going elsewhere.
This only got 3 stars because the chicken and fries I got were good. Other than that it was terrible. Drive thru wait was unusually long, and then when I got to the speaker I knew why. The person taking my order was extremely rude did not know what they were doing in the slightest. And not even kidding, every time I go to this specific Popeyes, they are always “out of chicken sandwiches.” Then I got to the window after about 5 mins of trying to order, and they were extremely hostile, gave us the wrong drink (I caught it and asked for the correct one though, and then to top it all off told us they were “out of all sauces.” Overall, won’t be going back.
These Popeyes must be under new management or new staff, because the service has done a complete 180! 6 months ago it would have taken me 30 45 minutes to get a wrong order, and now the last two times I left, it was nothing but pleasant, fast and accurate food! If you were turned away from here before I urge you to give it another shot! Great work everywhere!
