Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

I should have known better, but I just had to try it. Every day, I drive past the Popeyes in Sun City Center and wonder why it’s always empty. Now I know the answer. I waited in the drive-thru for 20 minutes, and the car in front of me had to get out and walk to the window to ask the employees to take their order. I finally placed my order for two chicken sandwiches and a large fry, which came to a whopping $17! I figured the fries had to be exceptional for that price, but they were far from it—lacking in Cajun flavor and definitely not amazing. The chicken sandwiches were just average, nothing to write home about. To top it off, there was a hair in my fries. By that point, I was so over it....

The experience was truly disappointing, with service that felt disorganized and unprofessional. If you don’t speak up while waiting in the car line, prepare to sit for at least 30 minutes before anyone acknowledges you. When you finally reach the window, the staff often don’t give you the chance to finish your sentence before walking away. Additionally, inquiring about a military discount seems to annoy them rather than elicit a helpful response. Overall, I recommend avoiding this place until they hire staff who know how to treat customers with respect and good manners.

Every time we visit this restaurant, they never have what we order and pay for. They always charge us first and then inform us that what we wanted is unavailable, offering a substitute instead. It’s frustrating. After that, we end up waiting 20 minutes for food we didn’t even want to begin with. Trying to get a refund is a complete joke. This has happened three times now. We won’t be returning.

The staff is so friendly! I really love Popeyes. Unfortunately, the loudspeaker was broken on Tuesday. There was a sign directing customers to either park and order inside or drive up to the window. Since there was a line of cars, I decided to park and go inside. The staff had my order ready in no time. However, my two daughters ended up eating most of my Cajun fries on the way home! Haha! Worst Popeyes location of all the ones I?ve been to! Two separate occasions in a row, the chicken sandwiches taste like they have been sitting all day! Bread is so hard it?ll break your teeth. Chicken is soggy. Depressing cause I love chicken sandwichesbut I will never return to this location. Take the extra drive to drive to another one.
