Visited with my elderly mum who has mobility difficulties. We had had a very difficult and slightly traumatic day and my mum and I desperately needed a sit down and a cup of tea and something to eat as we'd had to miss lunch as...well. We managed to park pretty much right outside as my mum has a blue badge, although there is parking for anyone for 30 mins. Not long but maybe enough for a cuppa and cake! The staff were very welcoming and friendly and extremely thoughtful and assured us that it would be fine to get a sandwich and a pot of tea even though it was 3.30 when we got there and they closed at 4pm. The food was lovely and fresh and the cake very good and we loved the way it was served...
Booked for afternoon tea for me and my mum. Absolutely lovely setting and welcoming atmosphere. The tea sets and crockery were so beautiful. The selection of teas were amazing and I love the fact they were loose leaf! The afternoon tea itself was delicious (especially...the sandwiches, oh and the cakes…and everything else). Congratulations to the ladies at this tearoom for making such an amazing environment. I’ll be back asap!
We were bought afternoon tea as a gift…great idea! We had lovely food, a choice of different teas, served on lovely china. Best of all is the super service from Poppy and the staff who are so friendly and kind. The warmth of their service...makes it a special place. They also do takeaways, lovely cake and scones to eat at home.
This restaurant is like a charming little treasure trove. It's perfect for bringing your grandchild or LGBTQ+ son. Even if you order a soda, don't expect a generic brand - they serve bottled drinks that are of a higher quality. Upstairs there's a small shop selling candles, porcelain, and other vintage items.

I discovered this tea room on Google and I was not disappointed! From the staff, to the decor, to the food, everything was amazing. The sandwiches were so fresh, the cakes and scones were great, and the tea selection was extensive. I will definitely be returning to this lovely little tea room.
My friend and myself had afternoon tea the service and food was superb. It was so homely and the tables were set out with lovely white table linen and China crockery. Afterwards we went up two floors and there were lovely clothes scarves and jewellery....A little gem
Been again to Poppy's. Afternoon tea was amazing. Never let's us down. We took a friend who is over from Australia she was well impressed. Sandwiches were lovely and freshly made. Cakes home made. Had a great time.
I came to this place just for coffee and was pleasantly surprised. The menu was great with a beautiful presentation and a variety of choices. The decoration and service were both excellent.

what a nice tee room. contempt, friendly staff. wonderful eating, we had sandwiches and cakes. very cheap. we will soon be back to taste the afternoon tea, it looked very good.
Very friendly and old fashioned services. Lovely afternoon tea and company. When in Northwich I will drop in again for tea.
