Came here to celebrate the 40th birthday of a good friend. Restaurant is small and quaint with a great neighbourhood friendly feel. Front of restaurant opens with a garage door style door to Bloor street so a great view and feel of the city. We had the newly opened basement reserved for our party of about 25 people. This venue was just about right, allowing enough room to eat, drink and socialize. Our server Phil was nothing short of amazing. He recited the entire beverage menu several times as guests kept arriving and believe me it is an extensive beer menu. My second review of this place. I go here pretty often. Fantastic beer selection and really good bbq menu. But just recently they did away with the bbq menu and now have a simple bar menu like everywhere else. We got the pootine and reuben sandwich. Very average. What a shame...this place once stood out and now it looks like they're cutting costs perhaps. I was also a little surprised that the staff was drinking and taking shots all night. Still a friendly staff though. Beer was still fantastic, the Nitros Red Amber and Left Field Sunlight Park were fantastic.
the wenona was recommended to us by someone from toronto, and that was also good, because as a tourist you would not have come past the local.The ambiente is cool and easy, it is a bit dark but you feel definitely comfortable, also because the service is super nice and friendly. the best is but definitiw to eat! the waiter recommended the beef brisket, and the meat was absolutely delicious! I had cole Slav, and there were several in-house sauces served, which were also all great!Absolutely recommended for meat lovers, and that to really fair praise!
I was thrilled to discover this restaurant! It's a gem in Toronto! The beer, food, and staff are all excellent. I had been feeling discouraged about finding a cozy local spot, but then I stumbled upon Wenona's. You don't need a long review, just go! The food is delicious and the portions are generous. This bar is a fantastic find.

Had a side launch beer and pulled pork platter and both were excellent. The bartender took great care of us too. Loved the 4 different sauces and the platter was a lot of food. If I had to pick one thing I didn't care for it was the biscuit. It's also a cool little place with some character.
I was so delighted to find this place!! Torontos saving grace!! Great beer, great food and sound staff!I had lost faith in finding a nice cozy local but then I found wenonas...no need to write a big review just GO.. good food with great portion sizes ....:) This bar is a GIFT
Went for dinner - really enjoyed the food and great drink list. The friend chicken was really juicy but the batter was too fried - but the kale side, fries, brisket were all great - will be back! Enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff.
Wenona's was great. It's a pretty laid back beer bar with a nice selection of Ontario beers. Phil the owner was awesome and gave us some great tips for travel around Toronto.

Love love love this place. The Food is so good, and the owners are really nice and friendly. I wish I lived closer so it could be my local.
Rustic cottage feel, easy going staff. Well read about their beers. And always have a good selection. Mostly local which is so good :)
