We discovered Portillo's in 2020 during our first visit to Chicago, and now it's a must-visit every time we come back. The Portillo's Dog, also known as the Chicago Dog, has become a family favorite. They pile on a variety of toppings like tomato, a pickle spear, sport peppers, and more atop a juicy all-beef hot dog nestled in a steamed poppy seed bun. It's simply fantastic! Another highlight is the Maxwell Street Polish, which features a smoked Polish kielbasa topped with grilled onions and mustard—absolutely delicious! And don’t miss out on their homemade chocolate cake; it’s rich, moist, and bursting with chocolate flavor. If you’re a chocolate cake lover, be sure to indulge in a slice!
Visited yesterday and the manager lady was very disrespectful and had no customer experience she was very rude, even an another customer had to tell her to calm down she was out of hand talked to me with no respect. She's a heavy weight Hispanic lady with glasses. If i was the owner i would have sent her home or suspended her. All over a portillo's legal customer parking space.
Probably one of the most average beef I've had have not worth the 18 dollars I paid the beef was tasteless and very grainy fries was good and so was the drink beef I give a flat 0 good thing I got the combo I won't be going back not worth the drive nor the price
This hot dog was unlike any I've had before, and it definitely exceeded my expectations! Absolutely amazing!

Portobello burger was delicious! A good alternative for those that's choosing to go meatless.
Burger reminded me of a whopper. It was a bit dry. The hot dog and polish were good, though

The bathrooms could use a remodel. I've seen nicer restrooms at Portillo's.
