Po's Rice Spice

I was at Po's today, and the ambience of the place was just perfect for the occasion. To begin, only to check-in on Yelp, we have two free spring rolls that were light and full of fresh vegetables, scrumptious. I had the house Mei Fun and my date had the chicken of General Tso. Both were absolutely delicious. Extra fresh vegetables made the dishes pop with taste, and the Mei Fun was not in the little greasy, unlike Mei Fun I had in other places. The place is perfectly clean and the service was exemplary. I wish I had received the name of the young man who served us tall, slender, with a smile that never quit, so I could give him the credit he deserves. The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. Everything was simply perfect, from the great band music that plays softly in the background, to the spacious, sunny room, to the hot towels that were brought at the end of our meal. And did I mention the Oolong tea and popcorn that was brought to the table before our meal? That was my first visit to Po's, but it will definitely not be my last. It is my new, popular place for Asian cuisine.

So I brought another friend to see the leak Po's on Wednesday night. Of course she loved it and is now also a Po's fan! Seriously, who wouldn't be! Really? I had my favorite crispy shrimps. YUM! She had the best drunk noodles ever! I almost forgot, we started with homemade dumplings. To die? Yes! And we had the beautiful Megan as our server. Great food and another great visit to Po's!

Our first time at Po 's and we couldn 't be happier. Our waitress, Meg, was terrific with the service and she new both the food and wine menus. We cannot praise the food too much it was delicious and the recipes used (for some of the sauces which were unfamiliar to us) were spot on! Our 'dinner out ' turned into a delightful treat; please give Po 's a try if you haven 't already!

My wife and I have waited 6 years for a restaurant like this to come to East Hampton! It's on par with places you'd find in West Hartford or Glastonbury without the drive. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and courteous. This will be a weekly place for us!
