The person taking the order just seemed like they hated working there, very short toned, no personality, young girl taking the order. I read another person's review after I wrote my review and I completely agree. These are immature young girls working there. I noticed the attitude too. I had to edit my post after reading the comments. I said several times not to add any hot peppers. Lately the hot peppers at Pot belly have been extremely spicy. It clearly says NO Hot Peppers on the wrapper, they added 3x the amount on each sandwich. I normally eat very spicy, but this is ridiculously spicy!! After ordering online for pickup, and arriving home with my order I discovered my sandwiches were not what I ordered. No big deal I called to let them know and asked them to remake them. I thought it was a bit odd that they wanted the sandwiches back, but that’s fine. What I didn’t expect was to have the sandwiches picked through in front of me and then get argued with that only one sandwich was wrong. After all that I still had to wait for them to get made. When I got back home, the subs were right, but the toppings weren’t! Ridiculous! This place is too expensive for this kind of service. I won’t be returning.
Potbelly corporate and this location are engaging in blatant fraud for my $150 catering order. When I went to collect my order, Shift Supervisor Maria was rude, unapologetic, refused to assist me, and began yelling. Do not visit this location or order through the Potbelly website because they will steal your money. I've requested the store manager, regional manager, and reached out to Potbelly corporate without any response. I will be contacting my bank and the BBB to report fraud.
I've been coming to this store for over a year now and the place has really gone downhill over the last couple months. They're always out of everything, the customer service is nonexistent, and they're always understaffed in the morning. I can't even come in for lunch anymore because it takes too long to get my food and I don't have enough time for my lunch break to eat it

Been going here for a few years now and it 's going downhill. Past 2 occasions have been faulty and pretty bad. A wrong order and very old mac 'n cheese. Check out is always a scramble for the cashier. Food still alright, certainly not great, but the service is becoming a dealbreaker. Vegetarian options: While they have veg friendly options be sure to check your order.
I went through drive thru and ordered Italian sandwich, chips and strawberry shake. Got a very hot, greasy toasted ham, I think there was a slice of bologna, nothing else….no chips, strawberry shake was fine. We didn’t bother to call and complain, we just won’t return to Glen Ellyn Potbelly. We like the one in Danada…they have never messed up our order.
Second issue: I ordered and paid for a wreck sandwich, but I only received a turkey sandwich with half the usual toppings missing. My kids absolutely hated it. Not only was the sandwich I paid for thrown away, but I also had to go out again to get another meal from somewhere else. Never again!
This place really needs to improve its attitude and take more pride in making the sandwiches. Overall, it's quite disappointing.
